I love DLH, dude never ducked anyone, fought some of the best in their prime, and some of the best out of his own prime. A true ATG, an exciting fighter, and a businessman who has really helped clean up the sport.

oscar was a warrior, i compare him to cotto. Prime for Prime Oscar > Cotto and it isn't even close. I think people forget how good Oscar was at 147. I thought he lost vs Sturm, won vs Mosley II and beat Trinidad. He was past his prime against Pacman, Forbes and Mayweather. He was a very good boxer and had serious speed. I also think his chin is very underrated. Great Left hook as well....

One of the best of this era for sure. Fought everybody and didn't duck anyone, imo. I think what hurt him more than anything was inactivity. After the fight with Hop he didn't fight for 2 years. After Mayorga, he took a year off to fight Floyd. Same shit happen with Ray Leonard. I know it was hard for him to only box with all of his businesses. If he could have dedicated himself to boxing %100, he may have been greater.

He was great at 147. I watched his fight against Gatti last night. I wish DLH stayed at 147 for longer. Once he moved up to 154 it was all down hill in a way. Yeah sure he beat Vargas and Mayorga. He fought less and less and tried to reinvent his style too many times, which I think was a problem for him.

win or lose, he fights the best... same can't be said on todays era of fighters.. promotional disputes erupts even before the fight has been made.. so sad..
