I ordered an autographed pair of trunks yesterday to frame for my wall. I was always happy that he didn't come back and get hurt anymore, but I hoped that maybe I'd go to Canasota someday for the Hall and shake his hand and maybe take a picture with him and Micky. It's too bad that can't happen now
Gatti's fights with Ward is what turned me on to boxing and I will always appreciate that thank you for your skill and heart Gatti, R.I.P.Arturo"Thunder" Gatti :You_Rock_
RIP.
If you could put Gatti's heart in 1/2 the fighters out there today this sport would be lucky for many many years. A perfect example of how a man who may not have been the most talented could still be loved and adored as if he were.
Of course he has a lot of fans due to the way he fought. Wasn't the most talented fighter ever but he had a great heart, something that has been completely lost in the fight game. Fighters are so hung up on never losing but they fail to realize that the way to win your way into the general publics heart is to lay it all on the line and do your best. One of the main reasons we love boxing is that we can see the true measure of a mans heart and what he does in his most vulnerable time. We respect the fighters that rise above it.

Thats why i've got respect for Andre Ward and Andre Dirrell taking the risk in this SMW Tourney
Hopefully Berto steps up to elite comp soon

Gatti was always great to watch. You couldn't help but be a fan.
And he was no made-for-tv boxer/slash businessman, he was a REAL badass. it came out in the way he fought and the way he lived.
RIP brother
