I dont wanna sound like a hater but what little I have seen I havent been all that impressed...what is it that makes him so good? Honestly I want some people to enlighten me..I havent watched him much but..what little I have seen I dont understand what the big deal is...anyways this is not a diss just wanna know what the deal is ???
No hate but if Jermaine would have atleast fought back within the last 30 seconds, Carl Froch would be a no name fighter. I think this SMW tourny tells us alot about Froch.
He said he'd take Jermain into the deeper waters and drown him, and that's exactly what he did.
jermain taylor goes into deep waters all by himself.........even against kassim ouma(who takes a better punch than the myth that is froch's chin)
Carl Froch is the truth. He has been what the UK was desperately needing. Haye is a hypejob, Khan is a hypejob, and Hatton has been revealed for what he is... a hype job. Carl Froch on the other hand, fights a damn good opponent outside of Europe. Then iced him in the late rounds when he was losing the fight.
Carl Froch is the truth.
The fact that he told the major televison broadcasters to stick their derisery offers up their own ars*es and that he'd fight without gaining any UK t.v revenue against Taylor.
Damn I bet sky and setanta are still bitter about that. Missed the most brutal and shocking fight of the year just because they wanted to play hard ball with Froch, well he delivered the ultimate middle finger to them by beating Taylor.
Now he's gonna get money rolling in from these t.v stations like no other. He put everything on the line and took a massive risk. It paid off.
Well played son.
a big nose!
well he's a jew, no surprise:D
Carl Froch was born in Nottingham in 1977 to an English mother and a Polish-Jewish father.

Cos he's a pure warrior thats what boxing needs. I can't see they guy ever getting knocked out. He never ever gives up.I'd love to see Froch vs Hopkins.
actually sounds like a good fight...but hopkins would give a boxing clinic in my opinion...jam him up and make the fight awkward for 12 rounds straight...

I feel you on this post. i wishJermaine Taylor didnt phase out in that last round and Froch wouldnt be in the picture anymore

Froch can bang, has a pretty horrible defense and a good chin. Combine those skills with his fight anyone spirit and you got yourself an exciting fighter. There isn't a thing to not like about him. He isn't the best fighter in the world but no matter who he fights he gives you a show.

4) Never give up attitude
5) Will fight anybody
6) Will travel anywhere
7) Can give it as well as take it

10) Underrated
I can add 50 reasons why Carl is great for boxing. And I'd rather have a Froch than a Calzaghe or Mayweather.
Great points, I would also rather have someone like Froch than Joe calzaghe/Mayweather to be honest, Am a big calzaghe/Mayweather fan but some of the decision they make leave alot to desire.

Calzaghe was a better fighter but the difference for me is Froch is willing to fight anyone anywhere. Joe simply never had that mindset. Joe teetered with his belt for years without doing much. Froch is out there kicking down doors. I'm sorry but guys like Froch are better for the sport than Joe ever was.
Touch'e! You know your boxing... Now less of the cheek..
theres nothing special about froch
any fighter with a good chin, good workrate and some inkling of boxing skills would easily UD him. calzaghe would have had a field day with him, froch is tailor made for calzaghe slow open and delusional. he seems to think hes stronger and quicker than he actually is.
froch however is an exciting fighter, he comes to fight has two big wins over pascal and JT and is good to watch. but imo hes only going to last a few more years so enjoy him while you can.
i think froch is a truth fighter, if you haven't been doing your roadwork he will find out, if theres hype behind your strength or quickness he will find out and if you're a good fighter making ourself out to be better than you are he will find you out.
froch imo is a gate keeper whos enjoying some title success and because of his style i dont think anyone would begrudge him of it.

A little harsh maybe,but a good analysis.
yeahs that not the first time iv been accused of being a little harsh on froch but his obsession with beating calzaghe gets on my t!ts!!
1: He's tough
2: He'll fight anyone
3: He's Determined
4: Fights are exciting.
He and Pascal both have made me a fan of theirs in the last year. Are they world beaters? no they are not. I do think though that both of them will test the heart of anyone they fight.
Imo his last 2 fights a total war with Pascal and fantastic win over an elite like Jermain Taylor in the dudes backyard. He ain't one of these hype job fighters either i live in England and had not heard a thing about him before he actually did something worthwhile. Unlike guys like Ortiz, Khan etc..
Great chin/good power and great fights and wants to fight the best!! whats not to like!!
Jermain Taylor an elite??? I don't think so.
