Cotto is shot against Pac? Pac not fighting for legacy??

People are talking about how Cotto is shot now. Wtf? New ring magazine issue explores on that. It's almost as if they're downplaying if Pacquiao beats Cotto. You're telling me fighting Cotto whom just last year everybody was talking about Cotto being the fight that needs to happen with Mayweather as a non legacy fight? Pacquiao's fighting him for the 7th division to be champion at. Cotto has one freaking loss and everybody's saying that Margarito took something from Cotto. Well let me ask this. Then does that mean the Torrecampo fight took something from Manny? How about the UD loss to Morales? Then how about the Singsurat fight? Cotto gets one loss and all of a sudden he's done? Hatton gets one loss (To Mayweather no less) and he's done?? But it's okay that Pacquiao losses to MOrales and 2 unknowns to keep getting better? Whatever happened to "Learn from your losses?" It seems like Pacquiao is the only fighter to have the *sarcasm*privilege to have that. The rest are: It has taken something from that fighter.

By Pacquiao already losing 3 times. That should make Pacquiao be past his prime at this point? Why Cotto has 1 lose and is already considered past his prime is beyond me.

Anyone that knows boxing knows this is not only a legit, but a very meaningful fight for both fighters. it's a legacy type fight for pac. its just a payday for cotto.

Bump again until people can actually explain this that goes around this board saying Pac isn't treated to the same standard as Cotto. Pac can have 3 losses but he's ok? Cotto can have one and he's shot?

Thought I'd bump this thread up because people are bringing up the fact that Cotto is damaged goods and he's only had 1 LOSS! WTF? Why can't people say the same about PAC and he's had three losses? He got schooled by Morales and was quite a war and the same with the Marquez? Again I still don't get why people are saying that about Cotto?!! Cotto is not damaged goods. If he is then Pacquiao is damaged goods as well.

the beating cotto took against margo was a career ending type of beating not just a lose...im not saying cotto is shot..but he certainly doesnt appear as the same fighter pre margo How you figure the man manhandle a bum in Jennings and Fought untill the end against the third best WW with a nasty cut over his eye... give him a break !!!

Cotto is shot, but Pacman is still not enough. He wants a weight drained shot Cotto now but hes fighting a legit welterweight while floyd can fight at 154 yet hes fighting a lightweight :lol1:

Maybe someone in "The Ring" which is owned by DLH wants Pac to fight Mosley instead so they make it seem like a win over Cotto is not that great since he's "shot". GBP tried everything else already to get Pac in the ring with Mosley anyways. 1. Mosley said he'd go down to 143. 2. Mosley would take the smaller cut 3. DLH said Top Rank's protecting Pac even though Pac fought 3 GBP fighters in his last 4 fights. Nothing worked. What else could they do? Just a thought. see gbp has too be carefu; what they say about cotto cus this is likely his last fight with top rank and oscar has always said he wants cotto in his stable of fighters

It was never in Bob Arum's mind for Manny to fight Shane. That fight won't happen unless Pacman destroys Cotto because Bob Arum doesn't want it to.

He got his ass beat by Marg and didn't look gr8 against Clottey. Cotto ain't shot, even if he's peaked already. Pac ain't steamrollin him, or goin 12 at all imo. Dude is too small for Cotto and will get hurt.
