Mine is Kendall Holt. I love how the guy has all the incredible outboxer abilities, great movement and jab, excellent power in his jab and cross...his guard is picture perfect, and he just glides around the ring... His jab really is a thing of beauty. I just love the way he fights, even though he has a weak chin. The guy is exciting to watch because you never know what he's going to do...he'll be potshotting at range and then just say **** it, jump in and get in a combination of looping power shots and then step out. I think Holt also has a good killer instinct. He's a guy who likes to go home early...but he's such a good boxer at range....The guy is a boxing fan's complete package, he can hit pretty hard, mix it up on the inside if he has to, and also fight extremely well from a long range...but it's more interesting with him, because of his chin. Keeps me on the edge of my seat. The guys on the top world level are great, great fighters...don't get me wrong...I just for some reason always enjoy watching the guys who aren't quite on the top, top level, but really close...
Figured you guys would like a break from all the Cotto vs Paciauo shit. I can only take so much. I've been dicking around in the history forum because I'm so sick of seeing people argue over dumb shit. Post about your current favorite fighters here.
I've been getting some videos of Lopez (720p dvd quality) I'm about to burn a DVD of all his fights, except his fight with penalosa. I want that one on there too...Trying to find a real good copy of it.
As much as I love Mayweather's style, I hate his attitude.
My favorite active boxer is Hozumi Hasegawa. Southpaw, quick, great footwork, smart, evasive. Sure he is susceptible to cuts but the guy will stand and bang when the time is right. His combinations are razor sharp, and since he became champ his KO percentage has been on the rise. Not to mention his personality is great too. He isn't the flashiest dude but he is a humble family oriented man. All pluses in my book, not even going to mention his wife (whom sexy as fuck).
future - juanma lopez. The kid is really thinking in the ring when his plan A does not work. Power is downright scary that even when blocked his opponents feel it.
It is scary. I completely agree. When he was catching Penalosa with those uppercuts, I honestly felt afraid for Penalosa's well being..........
Who's your favorite active fighter at the moment?
For me, that`s a very hard question considering all the good and talented fighters right now.
Let me try...
... Manny `Pacman` Pacquiao.
present - pac... even before the sasakul fight up to now. Been supporting him before he went on this championship run. His eyes will tell you that no matter what happens, he will give his all. victory/defeat does not matter to him as long as he did everything he could.
past- kostya. Too bad ricky smothered him to defeat but I prefer the tsyzu in the amateurs. Now that is a complete boxer.

Marcus fought everyone. His resume is a mini-history of the heavyweight division
Sammy Sparkman fought both Kessler and PWill among others.
Fought Cotto too.
True boxing heroes in my book, always ready to go at the drop of a dime.
AGAINST ANYONE. NO EXCUSES. no need time for training shit. they just rumble, win or lose.
rhode is like a local heavyweight from the 80's named ken lakusta.he made a million boxing & fought many contenders.we called him the travelling tomato can..500 record but made $ & opened a solid gym 20years ago.that's neat you like an underdog no matter his record.

it fascinates me how you talk all that shit about americans in the boxing history part of the forum and then come in my thread and nuthug tye fields, the biggest degenerate of american boxing[/QUOTE
Ok I over generalized American athletes & my 50% was out to lunch....but come on it was a who is not a good role model thread.I listed convicted rapists, baseball cheats(104 guys still unnamed),convicted murderers, adultors.actually I couldn't care less if mike Tyson raped 10 girls I'd still pay $50 to see him fight.I wouldn't want him going to the local high schools giving lectures thou...ok I was generalizing unfairly.as for tye fields he not winning any titles but I know him now & was working his corner sparring(towel boy/waterboy, it was a neat experience & worked with cisse salif too).my local scene sucked until he showed up.rumor has it he's trying to get Oliver mccall here to fight in October.I'm excited because I went to his 1st fight here & it was soldout,I met Gerry cooney& had a great time.I'll cheer for him win or lose.
Celestino Caballero
Sammy Sparkman
Marcus Rhode
Anselmo Moreno
Guerillmo Jones
