He is an excellent all-round fighter (except for maybe his stamina), but always comes short in the most misfortunate ways. Whether he wins or whether he loses, he always puts on tremendous action for the fans. C'mon guys he delivered the classic bouts with B-Hop, Pavlik I, and that recent thriller with Carl. Just look at his resume, 20 something fights and look at the amount of HOF's and current world champions his fought, and all those fights he gave to the fans.
IMO he probably may not win the tournament, but is most definitely a serious contender and certainly a great addition to the tournament.
Those bouts with B-Hop were entertaining, and those disputed outcomes were what made them classics. I just think people are underrating JT because of his recent losses.
Nobody said he ain't a good fighter. He is. But he's lost 3 of his last 4, 2 by KO. And I don't think anybody considers the Bhop fights to be classics. They're just memorable cuz Bhop lost for the 1st time in forever at the time.
