I haven't seen the fight but Chambers was a dangerous fight for Dimitrenko and he came up short. Sounds like he needs a new trainer and go back to the drawing broad.
It's not the end of the world. You can learn from a loss like Wlad did and come back better. I still think Dimitrenko would beat a few guys in the top 10 right now and i'm certain he will get to the top one day and win a title.
Dimitrenko will come back better from this. He wasn't ready for Wlad anyway. Chambers will get destroyed in all honesty.
Yours sincerely,
Chunk.
Chambers isn't going to get destroyed by Wlad. I think Wlad is till going to win. But I see Chambers putting up a better fight than anyone else has recently against Wlad. Way better than Chagaev. If he does good like he did tonight.
I cant believe the bias in this post. Dimitrenko didnt look rusty, he was never in the fight! I was completely unbiased before watching this fight, namely because I was often annoyed by Chambers not working enough (especially against Povetkin), but Dimitrenko put in a cowardly performance.
He really couldnt take the bodyshots of a much smaller guy, and notably not a dangerous puncher. He pretended to be in a lot of pain for a low blow that was right on the beltline and he showed absolutely zero versatilly in trying to stick to the 1-2 even though he was getting tagged with flurries of combos.
If Dimitrenko is ever to fight Wlad he we will get KO'd early. Im sorry but nothing I saw tonight indicated that Dimitrenko was other than a hypejob
agree. Dimitrenko gets schooled by Ruiz, Valuev, Povetkin and Tony Thompson. doesnt stand a chance against the elite.
Dimitrenko could be better with a different trainer. I still believe he has potential. His promoter Universum kept him inactive, having him fight only once in the past year. That can prevent an up-and-comer from improving.
Chambers has a better promoter in Dan Goossen, who tries to keep all his younger fighters active.
Another boxer who fought today had a setback, namely Alexander Alexeev. But he came back with a good result today, stopping a boxer in Releford who went the distance with big men like Tye Fields and Chazz Witherspoon.
Let's not give up on Dimitrenko. I do wish he could get away from old Kohl and sign with Titov or Sauerland instead. But I think he still has the potential to win a world title someday!

Need to remember, too, that Chambers is quick, slick, and hard to put leather on. Very naturally talented kid that would be spectacular with more dedication to the sport.
he seemed very soft tonight, his body punch resistance was dismal
he has the boxing talent (IMO), and obviously has a great asset in his physical stature, but his resistance and character are questionable
It's funny how someone becomes a 'Hypejob' after they lose. Dimitrenko's better then that. He will come back from this.
you might feel differently after watching the fight. hes not got anything to really offer besides his height, doesnt take a good punch and is a bit gun shy.
Wlad Owns is the only one dumping on him, like he always does when the fighter he hypes loses. Hatton, Pavlik and now Sasha.
