I don't see how him jab is that good. I like his left hook though, which is one of the best punches in boxing. However Cotto's jab is being severely overrated as if he has a Quartey or a Winky Wright jab. That is all. I watched Cotto "live" from 75 meters at the Garden (2005 & 2007) against Mosely....Cotto's jab was "the" main Mosely deterant!!! Mosley could not get a rythym going, not with that jab in his face. Had Cotto abandoned the Jab I would've had Mosley by Split Decision.

It's good but he doesn't use it enough. He should though use it a lot more when he starts fighting going backwards.

Okay he knocked down Clottey with it and He completely controlled mosley with it. His jab is quality bro face it Ffs that Clottey KD was a fluke, and almost everyone knows it. It was more of a off balance thing. But other than in the first round his jab had absolutely nothing on it.

I'm calling it right now.......Cotto knocks Pac down in the exact same fashion as he did Clottey. Pac darts in and out with his lightning fast feet, but one time Cotto will time it right and hit him with a stiff jab as Pac is coming in and knock him down. Like the Clottey kd, it won't hurt him, it'll be a balance issue. But with Pac's in and out movement I can see it happening.

Cottos jab isnt underated man. I mean its deff not up there with a prime Quartey ODLH or a Winky jab. More or less very lucky. he didn't hurt him once in the fight. lol i know he didnt hurt him on the real though, i think its real good.. just that cotto doesnt use it as much as he should. definitely not quartey-esque or de la hoya-esque for that matter. real stiff though. as far as being overrated, just keep in mind the kind of people on this site, everything is overrated one way or another
