I personally think Hopkins out boxed Calzaghe with crisper, sharper blows. Calzaghe started slapping Hopkins like an amateur during the end rounds lol
I think Calzghe knows he'll lose.
Far too many 'Rule 43' Wacko fans on this thread....
I say we have 3 rematches... So we can watch B/Hop get systematicaly beat to a pulp over 36 rounds... Should make a few people happy.. Especially me.....
this topic has grew spider webs and its been rusted for a long time!!.....Mr. 46-0 hung'em up........he's now NOT that important no more.......B-Hop on the other hand is ALWAYS a hot topic.......the ageless wonder is a special breed......very special!!.......he's still a tough fight for ANYBODY from MW-CW at age 44......wow!!
well calzaghe sold his legacy then cuz the shady SD against BHop was all he had on his resume.
he's had a better career than 99% of boxers who turn pro, made millions, his face isnt ****ed up, he's got a fit bird, likely to have no long term health problems, Hall of famer and one of the best british boxers who's ever lived.
I dont think he cares if u think he sold his legacy or not.
And i say again, Dawson and Froch are ahead of BHop in the queue if he fights again.
Get over it.
u act like he's the only fighter who's last fight menat nothing legacy wise ffs. Loads of them do it. Its called a retirement fund.

the only thing old is that excuse. cal is retired NOW. he found the time before he retired to fight RJJ who is washed up but not the man a lot of ppl thought beat his ass. hense why he chose to do so is a very good question that will never go away unless joe does the right thing and gives BHop a rematch.

As a Bhop fan, I'd luv to see this rematch myself. But I understand those who wouldn't cuz the fight was dull. And now that Joe has retired and relinquished his LHW title, no reason to think it'll ever come off.
weather it will come of or not isnt the point. the question is why did joe go picking on a corpse of a fighter when he had a BHop rematch possible. saying the fight was dull is a acceptable excuse. althought i dont think anyone saw fireworks watching a fighter with nothing left get taunted by a man he wouldve iced with ease in his prime. BHop might not be in his prime eighter but hes still game, hes still a world class fighter, roy is neighter. and a fight with BHop would be competetive as alot of ppl think BHop acctually won the first fight. everyone knew joe would beat roy at this stage. and any real boxing fan would much rather see a hopkins rematch.

please stop making threads about calz... he sux.
It's a legitimate question that i wanted to ask.
I think you're just mad im downing your idol..
here's to your idol boss "peeleft:
I have no allegiance to Calzaghe, ALT.
Mayweather was also 'retired'
No, Mayweather was 'retired' (did anyone seriously expect him to stay that way?), while Calzaghe is RETIRED. I saw him at one of the 'evening with' shows a couple a weeks ago, and he made it pretty clear he isn't coming back. He's had enough, is enjoying life, and doesn't owe anybody anything, least of all B-Hop.

I think because he doesn't want the entire crowd suffering from Narcolepsy. The 1st fight was horrid to watch and Calzaghe won on activity.
A rematch would play the same way. Calzaghe just has a very hard style to adapt to.
1 Calzaghe is retired
2 Only the hardcore fans will watch it as the 1st one was so fecking boring ($$£££)
3 He already won, dawson and Froch are ahead of Bhop in the queue if Joe comes back
4 Why come back and fight a risky fight when you've retired undefeated, against a guy u already have a W over in your record? Its not like he's gonna win convincingly (sp?) enough to silence the haters
5 He doesnt seem to be broke or have a flashy lifestyle - so doesnt need the money
6 Hopkins is even older now, even if he does win he wont get any credit
7 your an idiot
Do I create ALTs and bait threads to get a rise out of people? If I did then I would be sad.

You resort to ad hominem's.. you're truly the sad one. Goodbye.:bottle:

A ban, eventually someone will report your sad attempts at bait threads. It doesn't get much more pathetic than trolling a forum.

Calzaghe had the chance to go Prime v Prime against Hopkins, RJJ dang even Toney, Tarver and Johnson(Pull out 3 times i think).
But beating a 40 year old shot to bits RJJ and a 43 year old Hopkins is meaningless.
He thought he'd get a free ride against the 43 year old, but ended up taking a very dodgy SD.
Ever since when ever Hopkins is mentioned in an interview, he throws a hissy fit lol
true but then hopkins pulled out and asked for double the money.
toney has never fought in the same class as calzaghe either you turd, he was a cruiserweight when calzaghe won his smw title.
I won't last long? wtf that does mean lol
I think Glen Johnson would even whoop Calzaghe's arse lol and if hopkins and johnson can fight beyond their primes im sure Calzaghe still has a few years left. Hopkins is about ten years his senior and won't give him a rematch, i call that sad.. yet you're referencing age here? c'maan!
