Why won't Calzaghe give Hopkins a rematch?

Far too many 'Rule 43' Wacko fans on this thread.... I say we have 3 rematches... So we can watch B/Hop get systematicaly beat to a pulp over 36 rounds... Should make a few people happy.. Especially me.....

well calzaghe sold his legacy then cuz the shady SD against BHop was all he had on his resume. he's had a better career than 99% of boxers who turn pro, made millions, his face isnt ****ed up, he's got a fit bird, likely to have no long term health problems, Hall of famer and one of the best british boxers who's ever lived. I dont think he cares if u think he sold his legacy or not. And i say again, Dawson and Froch are ahead of BHop in the queue if he fights again. Get over it.

As a Bhop fan, I'd luv to see this rematch myself. But I understand those who wouldn't cuz the fight was dull. And now that Joe has retired and relinquished his LHW title, no reason to think it'll ever come off. weather it will come of or not isnt the point. the question is why did joe go picking on a corpse of a fighter when he had a BHop rematch possible. saying the fight was dull is a acceptable excuse. althought i dont think anyone saw fireworks watching a fighter with nothing left get taunted by a man he wouldve iced with ease in his prime. BHop might not be in his prime eighter but hes still game, hes still a world class fighter, roy is neighter. and a fight with BHop would be competetive as alot of ppl think BHop acctually won the first fight. everyone knew joe would beat roy at this stage. and any real boxing fan would much rather see a hopkins rematch.

Mayweather was also 'retired' No, Mayweather was 'retired' (did anyone seriously expect him to stay that way?), while Calzaghe is RETIRED. I saw him at one of the 'evening with' shows a couple a weeks ago, and he made it pretty clear he isn't coming back. He's had enough, is enjoying life, and doesn't owe anybody anything, least of all B-Hop.

I think because he doesn't want the entire crowd suffering from Narcolepsy. The 1st fight was horrid to watch and Calzaghe won on activity. A rematch would play the same way. Calzaghe just has a very hard style to adapt to.

Calzaghe had the chance to go Prime v Prime against Hopkins, RJJ dang even Toney, Tarver and Johnson(Pull out 3 times i think). But beating a 40 year old shot to bits RJJ and a 43 year old Hopkins is meaningless. He thought he'd get a free ride against the 43 year old, but ended up taking a very dodgy SD. Ever since when ever Hopkins is mentioned in an interview, he throws a hissy fit lol true but then hopkins pulled out and asked for double the money. toney has never fought in the same class as calzaghe either you turd, he was a cruiserweight when calzaghe won his smw title.
