Anyone know? This is an opinion of topic of course... We all know BHOP is very hard to hit cleanly and hard.

Mercado
Echols
winner, winner, chicken dinner.............. right here!!!!!!
even hopkins himself said that these two guys were the only ones that hurt him when they hit him cleanly.
he also gave pavlik credit for his power, only thing there, is, pavlik never hit him cleanly.
merchado was the only and last guy to drop hopkins, also, hopkins has never suffered a cut in the ring either........
Taylor actually wobbled hops a few times. Nothing serious or anything but I think taylor landed more harder punches than anyone. Tarver didnt even land anything at all he landed one good punch and hops laughed tito got shit on winky didnt really land anything oscar didnt at all. Taylor was the one that touched him afew times.
taylor didn't wobble him at all unless you are referring to the right hand that missed and lampley pretends hopkins is about to be ko'd "he didnt see that right hand coming!" sure jimmy thats why he ducked and it sailed over his head.
Someone show me a picture of Trinidad even landing a clean punch on BHOP!!! Someone voted for Trinidad, I find that quite hilarious. Was that a joke vote or no?
I haven't voted because I think there are quite a few guys who caught him with a nice shot or two.
Trinidad definitely landed some hooks on him.
He avoided most of them, or caught them on his arms/gloves ; but he definitely hit Hopkins with some clean left hooks in that fight.

Mercado
Echols
to bad there arnt many vids of these fights,
there his most entertaining ones.
Check the video trading block, both of them are in there I believe.
I know both Echols fights are ; I've downloaded and watched them several times.
Especially that rematch.
Bernard beat the holy hell out of him that night. :lol1:
Watch the rematch, B-Hop destroys him. Utter destruction man!
My very first boxing memory, that one.
Hopkins must've been really pissed about that draw (I thought he won the first match), and decided to take it all out on Mercado now that he had his ass in the U.S and didn't have to fear any sort of backlash.
I didn't think to mention him, I guess because me and bringer think alike and do not think Mercado is a massive puncher but more it was Bhop still young in his career and made some mistakes and just got off-balance. Idk, let me google some pictures of that fight if they exist and see if any still pics can tell a story.

I ****ed up my vote, but Segundo Mercado hit Hopkins the hardest because he had pop and he hit him the cleanest of all. Forget the altitude, those hookercuts with his right were catching B-Hop clean.
Yo Caz, where's the Singundo Mercado guy who dropped him twice? It was definitely him homey.

Mercado and the results speak for thereself. We can talk about the altitude amd things of that nature but the truth is Hopkins still finished VERY strong that fight after getting dropped the 2nd time. Personally I thought Hopkins eeked it out.
I don't agree with that one man, at all.
Mercado wasn't a wrecking ball puncher or anything, he wan't known for his pop. He had some KO's but he wasn't a harder hitter than Taylor or Tito, IMO.
I think the elevation, and Hopkins lack of mental focus had more to do with those KD's than anything.
You can't exactly focus on fighting a man (in a bull ring, no less), when you've got armed lunatics storming into your locker room prior to the fight because the Country is in a civil war.
Your right, from what I remember, armed soilders were kicking down doors and B-Hop felt had he gotten the win, he wouldn't have been able to leave the place alive. I'm sure that and the altitude had alot to do with his performance, reason why I mention Mercado is because B-Hop seemed a little hurt, never seen anyone else hurt him.
Note: When your fighting in the other guy's backyard, get K.D twice and get a draw...you know you won that fight.
Idk, who has hit Hopkins like that still picture shows of Calzaghe doing it? Yes, Calzaghe slaps with some of his punches but that look like a really hard punch. Bhop definitely has a beard even with his great defense. I think Calz and Taylor did...
That was definitely a hard punch from Joe.
He normally slaps with his shots because of his hands, but make no mistake ; that was a nasty punch.
Hopkins has a very underrated chin, IMO.
People don't talk about it much because the way he fights, he rarely gets hit.
Which makes sense, really.
I'd rather avoid getting hit completely, than risk it just to prove how solid my chin is.
But when his chin has been tested in the past, he's shown great punch resistance.
Segundo Mercado has hit B-Hop the hardest.

Taylor definitely deserves a plug, as well.
He's not the hardest hitter in the world, but when he throws with intention, he has a bit of pop on them.
Trinidad for the (very) few left hooks he was able to land on Hopkins in their fight.
Tarver didn't land much, but he did land 1 or 2 clean shots that looked pretty hard, and he was the bigger man.
Taylor, also, as I said ; deserves a mention.
Any of those guys would get my vote.
In my opinion, some may not agree but Taylor's bad stamina is more due to him putting too much commitment towards his punches.
