Cotto may hve the right weapons to beat Pac.

Pac's speed will trouble Cotto all night. His stamina will also be to his advantage. I dont see Cotto winning this fight, or easily for that matter.

But what you are overlooking is his foot movement. Those fools who has been saying that he didn't put DLH in his back are overlooking a significant factor....he wasn't sitting on his punches, just potshotting and moving. I expect that will be the strategy they would employ...pop a shot or too and move, rinse and repeat until Cotto got weak. He doesn't have a chin like DLH and doesn't have the greatest stamina, so late rounds is where Pac would take the risk and look for the KO. very good points. Pacs in and out foot movement will be a key to victory. Just got done watching pac vs morales 1. This fight is particularly interesting since morales and cotto are the same height and in that fight Morales was the bigger guy though not by near the margin that Cotto will be. What I saw was that Morales was able to use the jab and movement to take Manny out of what he wanted to do. He disrupted his rhythm and was able to counter punch pac much the same that Marquez was. Pac has a bad habit of dropping his right hand as he moves out of range and if Cotto hits him with a left similiar to the on Marquez landed in their third fight it will be lights out. I think Cotto has to be on with the jab. If he is he wins if he cant land the jab manny will beat him for most of the fight.

Yup. All the tools except a handspeed advantage and a tight guard...

plus add the GREAT left to the body, and hard, hard, hard left hook...just ask Mosle, Malinaggi, Cheetos or Clottey they have all said he hits hard, and is faster than they thought!!!! :owned: i agree + you gotta add velocity to that. they ALL have underestimated the velocity Cotto comes with

If Cotto improves his counter punching and stamina, he can win. But I don't really see Cotto as a counter puncher, he'll be there in front of Pac. Landing some jabs perhaps and backs up with some combos.

Cotto is strong enuf to KO Pac.

I havent seen Cotto go to the body in dominating fashion for some time now!!Cotto's biggest chance against Manny,is that he is a legitimate power puncher,but I have the feeling if Manny makes it to the second half of the fight,Manny will sleep him!!!!

His right hand is a hell of a lot stronger than Oscar, and it's quicker than Barrera's too because it's right down the middle like you said. No loop to it. Those are the other two good left handed fighters Pac has faced. Unfortunatly he destroyed both. What will be pacs most effective punches be against Cotto?

to be honest ... the real advantage i see on manny here.. is the stamina... and of course his speed... but if i was cotto i would be more concern in getting a GOOD FU CKING STAMINA for this fight. cotto is just outmatched hed in that parameter.... he can deal with the rest... but not with mannys stamina.. thats the real advantage that manny have yes he for sure better work on his stamina but this fight will be won I think on the correct strategy. A straight right is very effective against a southpaw.
