Listen up you retarded Cotto and Pac stans, you fools need to shut the fuck up already about your precious boys facing each other. It's a total mismatch, the weights aren't fair (Cotto's too big for the catchweights whilst Pac is too small for 147) and both men have unfinished business with other guys in their respective divisions. Cotto needs to be rematching Clottey and Mosley or looking at Mayweather, all at 147...
... whilst Pac needs to be re-rematching the great Juan Manuel Marquez. Got that clear? Good. I mean, just LOOK at those first two fights! Seriously, watch them again. I mean it. No, that's not enough. Watch them AGAIN. Naw, that's still not it. Watch them the fuck again. Alright? These two men are MADE to fight each other in a trilogy. The first war was at 126, then at 130, so the next one naturally needs to be made at 135 or 140 which is completely fair on both.
Having watched both fights at least 4 times I had Marquez winning the first with 115-110 (bullshit to the draw and anyone who thought Pac won), and Pac the second with 114-113. What's the next logical step in this pattern? That's right, ANOTHER FUCKING FIGHT!!! :box2:
I'm with you.. JMM is not getting any younger and they should have fought after Pac Ko'd Diaz and JMM Ko'd Casamayor..
I know that Roach and co. are jittery about another fight with JMM.. even they know that he beat thier man twice, but got the benifit of a decision..(SPLIT)
The way they see it is, they hope JMM get's Beat badly by Floyd so then no one ever hears from JMM again and he returns to lightweight/jr lightweight... or Pac goes on to beat Cotto and then maybe mayweather and as a final farewell will then fight JMM in 2011.. JMM would still fight him in 2020 if given the chance, but he will be a shell of his former self..sad
Why see something different when the originals were so good? Change isn't always for the best. Vazquez and Rafa Marquez showed that - and people still want more.
I prefer seeing new fights. Yea rematches are great when warranted, but I'd much rather see Pacquiao fight other guys. I'm more interested seeing other fighters face different styles to see how they can adapt.

I believe Marquez will get beat more convincingly the 3rd time around. Where Marquez IMO has peaked, Pacquiao has gone that extra step and has fought bigger guys and has been successful. Pac's become a lot more patient which makes him even more dangerous. I think Pacquiao's patience will throw Marquez off. Plus, I think it'll be a situation where if Pac unloads on him you'll start to see the effects of a fighter who's been in too many battles at this stage of his career (at least thats what I think).
I think people are hoping they'll see a Izzy Vazquez vs Rafael Marquez type of fight in their trilogy, but I don't see it playing out that way.
we have seen this fight. id rather see something different now.

Which is why Roach is a snivelling pussy and Cotto is no better for wanting to fight a guy who only a year ago weighed in at 135. Hence, it just shouldn't happen.
Pac-Marquez NOW
Cotto-Mayweather NOW
That's what's up. :boxing:
Roach and their team think its a big risk. Especially on how close the 2 fights have been before. I think they are waiting for Marquez to lose.
