Who do you think is more at fault for the Klitschko Brothers somewhat "boring" (boring in quotes since its merely the opinion of some) performances?
Its clear right now that the Klitschkos are the class of the HW division, but people look down at them (specifically Wlad) for not making more exciting boxing matches. Whose fault is this though, them or the opponents?
Is it that once the Klitschkos (once again specifically Wlad) see they have outclassed their opponents that, they should step outside that comfort zone and press the action to provide more entertainment? or is it that hey if you can win a fight comfortably using a specific legal tactic, you should stick with it and not place yourself in peril.
On the other hand you have their opponents.... The Klitschkos are doing a specific tactic, that though unexciting) leads to them winning easily. The opponents are fighting in ways that will assure them of losing, and they don't change tactics, and don't take risks because they would rather lose and take less damage.
Personally I blame the opponents, because the Klitschko behavior is based on them winning fights, and the opponents is usually just based on survival.
This is the fight that made me a fan actually. Sadly, he's done nothing remotely close to this since. Maybe Corrie Sanders really screwed him worse than we all thought.
Blame Stewart, not Klit or his Opponents.
His style was refined after he hooked up with E-man. He's a safety first
fighter now, you cant fault him for that. He wins and does so convincingly.
I doubt he's forgotten what it's like to throw combos and body shots though,
and if ever his plan A doesn't work, i'm confident he'll pull the stops
and impress you all again
Idiot boxing fan: "Hey Wladimir, you're really boring to watch in the ring, you should be more exciting."
Wladimir Klitschko: "Uhh, I punch with a lot of power on every punch and don't clinch or run. What more do you want?"
Idiot boxing fan: "Well, fights are exciting if they are competitive... I guess you should just drop your hands and let other people hit your more frequently."
Wladimir Klitschko: "Okay, GTFO."
I mean, really, that is what all your morons sound like when you bitch about how boring Wladimir Klitschko is. What should he do other than get hit more frequently?
Its the opponents who come in out of shape, or can't figure out how to get in on them, or they are either too afraid to force a fight with the K-bros....It is not Wlad and Vitali's fault that their opponents can't physically compete with them.
The heavyweight div all together. Its just not as good as it was. But you cant blame the Klits for that. Im sure if they could they would want to fight a prime lewis holy tyson to see how good they really are but they cant. All they can do is win now. Sometimes its not the comp you fight bc different weight classes have different comp and era's are different. It if you have the skill and can box. Clearly they can. Its not their fault its not the opponents fault bc the klits are just that good. Its just the state of the div. If there was even two or three that can contend with them it would be better. But there just isnt.
Klitchko's just use their advantages at the end of the day.
Larry Holmes was not exactly an exciting fighter imo, he(Larry) fought better opposition but Larry was a safety first kinda guy that hid behind the jab and controlled the action majority of the fight with his left hand.
I would like to see Wlad be a little more aggressive with how he disposes of guys but to me it is on the opponents.
You need to make him fight, if a fighter is just going to let him stand off and bomb away Wlad is basically invincible. To me it is on his opponent to get him off his game and make Wlad fight in a way that is uncomfortable to him, although i must admit it does suck because it does not appear as if anyone is up to the task.
Wlad fought a guy that was even announced as "In Recess" lol, you dont get more stark description of a hopelessly poor opponent than that lol.
If Haye was in the ring tonight, Haye would have jumped in tryn to land the bombs, probably would get knocked out and Wlad would get alot of respect for ending it against an opponent that came to fight, which is whay Steward was so happy about the Wlad Haye fight at the press conference, all the hype would have made Wlad look good. But wins like this do nothn for Wlad and if he wont fight the next best fighter who he is getting a free pass to duck then he may as well retire. Never before has a champ been given a Ring belt becaus ehe wont fight the number 2 ranked guy! Thats why Wlad gets no respect.
Its just the Heavyweight Division in general, it hasn't got the talent pool it used to. Nobody can blame Wlad or his opponents for this, all he is doing is beating everyone put in front of him and dominating the division he fights in.
Both. Most of the fat ****s in the heavyweight division think since there's no weight limit they can wild out at the buffet and come in out of shape.
Andre Berto fights the way he does because Klitschko gave them the blueprint. These motha****ers have absolutely eliminated inside fighting with bullshit illegal holding.

its the way wlad controls range with his jab and footspeed. fighters just cant get set to throw effectively
