cotto's name really wasnt thrown in the mix till recently at the front i was under the impression of mayweather marquez or mosley. amd pacman beat marquez twice to me the first time one judge just couldnt add right and the second was razor thin Arum has been mentioning Cotto as an opponent for awhile. Unlike matchups with Mayweather or Mosley, Arum can keep it all in-house and make sure he gets one last big payday out of Cotto, in case Cotto bolts Top Rank after this year. Cotto's been unhappy with Top Rank and Arum since Arum defended Margarito on the wraps situation.

pacquiao should fight mayweather , mosley , cotto and marquez all on the same day. though i bet someone will still say he ducked someone else even if he did do that. Pacquiao fights Cotto= he's ducking Mosley! Mosley said he'd go down to a catchweight. Shane dominated Margarito! Pacquiao fights Mosley= he's ducking Cotto! Cotto beat Mosley and his loss is questionable, we don't know if Margarito loaded gloves! Pacquiao fights Mayweather= of course he fights the small welterweight! How come he never gave Marquez a 3rd fight when he never clearly beat him in 2 tries?

I personally think Pacquiao and Roach prefer Mayweather first, but Mayweather wants a "tune-up" first (I hate using that term to describe a terrific fighter like JMM, but that's basically what the fight is). Cotto might leave Top Rank, so Arum probably wants Cotto in a big fight before the year ends. Cotto is viewed by many people as the easier fight between him and Mosley, and it's also in-house for Arum to promote.

I think (Mosley, Mayweather and Marquez) are on decked if Pacquaio beats Cotto. Depends who brings more legacy and a lot of PPV. :drive: War Pac! :boxing:

first off i rate manny i think he is a very good fighter but to me this is kinda like ducking..shane is 37 has 5 loses is willing to take a smaller cut and will drop his weight down. why wouldnt he take the fight? is he ducking shane?? sigh, it's called money. cotto brings more money to the table.
