Floyd has plenty of reason to not go ahead with the JMM fight in July. Several million dollars worth of reasons that is since there's persistent rumours that the ticketsale was well below GBP's expectations.
The fight is well over a month away and it's postponed because of a bruise??? No broken bones. A bruise.... lol.
Everybody in the boxing industry is sceptical about this excuse so we need to see some evidence.
If the questions below is answered I would believe that Floyd is injured. As long as the answers remain a secret Floyd is uninjured as far as I know:
1. What's the name of the sparringpartner who busted Floyds ribs?
2. What's the name of the doctor? Why is it so secret?
3. What does the sparring partner do now? Is he fired?
4. Has the NSAC received or demanded any medical medical injury documentation?
5. Has any x-rays been made at all and why aren't they public?
Feel free to answer any or all of the above questions since I might have missed a bit of the overseas mediacoverage.
Untill then this is a fraud.
Dude, Spacey is nothing like that, he's the most objective of the fans, and he's a straightshooter, he'll call it how he sees it.
I agree, I wasn't saying slacey is like that, I was saying floyd is like that
4. Do you think everyone invovled would jsut let Floyd walk away if they though he was faking, money has been spent they would want it back if they thought it was not legit.
it;'s not just Floyd... What if everyone agrees that they should cancel the fight because they know will be in financial disaster?
i think that its great that we have so many psychics in this forums, its awesome how these guys can read a story and tell whether the Mayweather Jr is really hurt. Now, would we see this kind of outrage if Miguel Cotto were to get hurt prior to the Pac fight from the people in this boxing community? by looking on here the past few days...i say HELL TO THE NO, but that is just my observation. :haha:
1. It is acatalidge injury not broken ribs, this can be caused by striaght over exertions.
2. It is against the law, for the Dr. to say shit until Floyd tells them too. Medical record are privete for a reason
3. Did not have to be in sparring
4. Do you think everyone invovled would jsut let Floyd walk away if they though he was faking, money has been spent they would want it back if they thought it was not legit.
5. Once again medical record are privete
What proof do you have that he is faking, Floyd was going to make a lot of money if this fight sold zero tickets and he would have been able to fight twice this year, even if he had to take less down the road 2 fights make a fighter a lot more then one fight.
It is a rib cartalidge injury not a briuse. Show me real proof not speculation or circumstantial evidence and mabye I will believe you.
Amen, this man know's what he's talking about.
I have not read this thread, but basically the only people who have access to whatever the medical information bureau has in their database are insurance underwriters and the feds. Mayweather in all honesty shouldnt release anythign to anyone, he shouldnt have to prove anything, if hes not out training or doing gym work, thats proof enough. Its not that big of a deal.
I am in the health insurance industry, i know for a fact that unless there is some federal investigation, his medical records are between him and his doctors and you saying he should release that info is asnine. I wouldnt release anything about me, shit, i might have herpes, i dont want yall goin ron mexico on me.
you are a mayweather fan (a hypocrite that talks out of his ass and lies all the time).

Come on we know the ticket shit isn't reliable enough "Sources tell MaxBoxing" just doesn't cut it enough as a reliable source, rumors can start from absolutely anywhere. I aint saying it is faked or not, I am saying don't jump to
Llconclusions cause there is yet to be proof from a concrete source... until that happens and there is information from ticketmaster or something or from somebody that handles the tickets I am not gonna jump to conclusions
As you said... maybe he is in pain, maybe he isn't, maybe he is a little and there using it as an opportunity to postpone for more tickets,
we don't know... the only thing we can do it wait and see what happens... wait for a reliable source because there is yet to be one.
Fair is fair, this is as fair as it gets... jumping to conclusions without any proof or concrete evidence is unfair, people should just wait and see what happens.
Spacey, people with inside information never give up their sources. That's how it works, kim frequently breaks accurate inside info on ppv buys, signed fight and ticket sales. He's been doing this for over a decade. You don't believe a credible guy who's entire life is dedicated to being a boxing insider, but you are a mayweather fan (a hypocrite that talks out of his ass and lies all the time).
who cares, most of you dont wanna even see this fight, it's clever hes avoiding other events which give fans more chance to watch both events, and if he really is injured you are all going to feel stupid
Hard to know for sure, but if he really is injured, it definitely can affect his training big time. Every minute and every day he misses of training all add up.
It's hard to imagine but if it were true, I would recomend him retirement for good, I mean he would get his ribs broken by arguably one of the worst boxers on the planet on a sparring session whereas in the ring he is nearly untouchable, that would be a real embarrassment.:lol1:
Yeah it would be... :D

The jokes in that video were terrible, but they still made me laugh! Props to you!
Imagine how embarrassing it would be if he was really injured and it was caused from Zellenoff? :lol1:

I get what your saying mate... but maybe they still need to go into more thorough detail to see how severe it is and when he should be able to fight. I mean, a doctor could have taken a look at it and said "you wont be ready for July 18". You get what I mean, I understand what you mean though... I am just saying we should wait and see what happens.
Anyway you know I have no problems with you, your a good poster... we aint arguing or anything were just sharing opinions. :fing02:

Yeah we'll see if anything substantial will be revealed.
Here's The Famous Sparring Session between Floyd and Zelenoff:

If there is an injury they know the extent of it hence the must have had an opinion from at least one doctor. GBP would not postpone the fight due to injury if they weren't sure that Floyd was unable to fight.
There's no need for another doctor. The fight has already been delayed 2 months.
Every fighter is allowed to have an injury as I've said earlier. Floyd being Floyd meaning that he is just under the public microscope more than any other fighter as can be clearly seen here and on any other boxingsite. It's just the way it is and the price paid for being a superstar I guess.

u cant trust a guy who made it rain with fake money;

U just cant.
Mate, enough with that BS... we all know that came from that shitty source you found, and you give 5 sources that all link to the first one, everyone saw this source and tried making there own article on it.
We have been through this before, if this was true and legitimate, Floyd would have had police and the law straight on him... it would have been on CNN and ESPN, you know this, so until you most it from a source like ESPN then I aint gonna fully believe it cause it could be bullshit and something she has "heard" anyone can do anything on photoshop.
That stripper made up the bullshit about De La Hoya that was fake about cross dressing, also a kid was reported to have played with Floyd on Fight Night Round 3, this made Sky Sports and The Sun... and when they asked Floyd about it it turned out that the guy he was playing with lied about it and gave the kid a load of bullshit.
As I said, rumors can start from anywhere. You are just trying to believe every single negative thing you can.

Why would the x-rays be made public? What a silly thing to say.
I have never really thought that Floyd sold tickets, but I always felt he was a strong draw for PPV.
I think they are guerenteed like 16 million together (Floyd 12 JMM 4 75/25 seems about right on the split, this is a guess though and am talking jsut base pay no upside). 28 million in overall cost (I used 12 million in additional cost because 10 seemed to little and 14 seemed to high).
Regular PPV cost $55 and Hd are $65 (I don't know the percentage but after watching fights I HD I can't go back to sd, so I am going to split the difference and say $60 per PPV).
28,000,000/60 is like 466,000 buys will just make it 500,000 as a break even point with just PPV.
Now that they cancled the first fight they already spent millions on marketing it, so to break even (maybe 30-32 million) they will have to sell even more later on because they will have to spend that money all over again to market the fight on the new date. By doing this that are risking a much bigger loss, which is why I say that Floyd is most likely injured (injured enough to pull out of the first date anyways, how far the fight gets pushed back is another matter). I really doubt that the overall market for this fight changes down the road, maybe it does a slightly better live gate on Sept 18th but is that enough to throw away the millions already spent on marketing.
To me this would be very bad business and Richard Scheaffer is an excellent business man (say what you will about him, but he does know what he is doing).
Schaeffer knows what he's doing that's right.
