For me personally it would be Mosley. If he beats Mosley then I'll have him locked in the Top 5 ATG. Period.
above is a quote from someone in a thread who thinks Pac can become a top 5 ATG,
this overrated motha ****a is brainwashin people.
this is huge even for nuthuggers.
OMG, thats not the question,
the question is,
if Pac wins, is he a top5 ATG?
Before getting any farther into this topic, who's your top 5 ATG? We can go from there...
I dunno about top 5....i think thats abit of a longshot...but he is an unbelievable fighter, and IF he took on welterweights at 147.....i think floyd would just be put to shame by someone with a pair of balls....and IF he won i would rate him even higher then i already do n thts damn high lol!

for pac to be top 5 ATG he'd have to beat both mosley and floyd and you can throw in cotto as well.
shit srry bro, damn,
sometimes i get so into it that i lose controll and jus
get pissed, im srry man,
havent you ever got hyped up and felt strongly on NSB,
im sorry bro.
Green K for being human !!!
You asked a question, I answered with my opinion. And all you do is swear. I leave you to your "educated hating". You don`t even deserve to be a Thread Starter, let your Thread rot and post with yourself.

Whether he beat Cotto or Shane I wouldn't put him ahead of any of these guys...
Sugar Ray Robinson
Muhammad Ali
Henry Armstrong
Joe Louis
Willie Pep
Roberto Duran
Benny Leonard
Sugar Ray Leonard
Sandy Saddler
Tommy Hearns
Roy Jones Jr
That's just to name a few...and no that's not my top 10 or wateva
i dont give a **** wat any Pac hugger says,
Pac will never be the number 1 greatest of all time,
your an idiot, there isnt enough HOF fighters to boost
Pac to that status currently.
he'll never be better then robinson or Ali, so forget it.

I honestly think Pacquiao may be making a mistake going after Cotto. I think Mosley wants to fight Pacquiao a lot more than Cotto does. I know the Ricans are gonna throw negative criticism at Shane for that, but he's at the end of his career and he is not getting 3 million dollar paydays to fight Alfonzo Gomez and Michael Jennings because he doesn't have a loyal fan base like Cotto does. I think Mosley might suprise everyone and accept the challenge from Paul Williams because Arum seems afraid to throw Pacquiao in with Shane and Shane may be smart enough to realize that. And if Cotto decides to pass up on a fight with Pacquiao (which would earn some points with me), where is Pacquiao gonna go? Mayweather and Marquez will likely re-schedule their fight. And if Williams beats Mosley then there is no way that Pacquaio would fight him, and understandably so. That would be too much of a physical disadvantage to overcome.
Not yet. He is right now ATG 20 in my opinion, he still has to beat Cotto or Mosley to be ATG 10, then PBF to be ATG 5, then an 8th weight title at super-welterweight to be ATG 1-3.

Manny's great and all that, but he isn't as good as Vinny Pazienza.

1. Top 20 is too high but you can have ur opinion
2. Cotto isn't in the top 30-40 all time so that doesn't bump Pac that high
3. Mosley is old and past his prime, people are blinded by a win over a one dimensional fighter who blocks punches wit his face
4. Pac would never go to 154
5. Pacquiao has never fought a slick fighter. Floyd Mayweather would be new ground for him
On achievements alone he will be considered an ATG if he beats someone like Mosley. How high is a matter of perception. Talent wise I have seen quite a few fighters in my own lifetime who I believe are better than him overall, but for one reason or another, did not make that impact that he has.
Like If the Manny of today fought the Floyd of 7 years ago at jr. lightweight, he would have gotten his ass handed to him IMO. Him vs a Floyd of today is a different dynamic.
Donald Curry was one of the most perfect fighters i have ever seen, but never got a chance to achieve greatness because he blew his load in the amateurs.
On achievements though, Manny will be right up there. I personally cannot wrap my head around this ATG and P4P madness that gets thrown around. Even the current P4P stuff i ignore. Too many intanglibles and swings of momentum. Take Manny for instance, if he fought Shane and lost, does that mean Shane is then P4P#1? Hell no. Does it even mean Manny is still P4P#1 if he wins? Nope. Because IMO, Manny at welterweight is just waiting to lose and he left his P4P status 2 weight classes below him. This P4P and ATG shit is just that, shit.

How could that put him top 5? An old ass past prime Shane Mosley?:lol1:
No one fighting currently would be ranked top 5 or top 10...
thank you bro, thats wat i been tryin to explain,
but some Pac nuthuggers were arguin' in another thread lol
no offense bro's but i jus need an answer to a question:
if pac beat mosley, would he be a top 5 ATG?
Shit is too open to interpretation homey. I lay off this kinda shit cuz I don't got a list of my top 50 ATG's memorized or saved on my CPU. No way to be sure who gets placed where. I'll just say Pac is already an ATG and the win would make him higher obviously.
If he fights and beats Mosley, it could be labeled similar to the dela Hoya fight, Mosley drained, old and shot fighter, and was just lucky with Margarito. Cotto would be a better draw.
