Did Tony really take something out of Cotto?

cuz of clottey's defense and counter punching. its hard to get clean shots on clottey. thats probably why cotto did those things. the wars are gona affect cotto like anyother fighter. maybe he aint what he was before. but i think the fact that he finish the fight with the bad cut and all shows he still has something left in the tank. but the tank aimt full thats for sure. fair point. you didn't think it was concerning watching the number of times cotto has clottey against the ropes and just watched him or back away? Not sure, but not many That was a knockdown no doubt but it was not a im hurt knockdown more a flash off balance and taken down, he didn't hurt him at all basically. So you would use your head because nothing else could have messed up cotto? well probably plaster uh?

I don't think so. cotto looked the same like he did against margo. I thought he fatigued and started backing up much earlier in this fight. I just think the wars are starting to show their toll, namely the war with marg.

styles make fights and clottey is different from floyd and pac. clottey is stronger than both, has a better defense than pac and hits harder than both. the fact that cotto couldnt hurt clottey made clottey the more agressive fighter, constantly putting pressure on cotto. and cotto aint at his best when being pressured, floyd and pac wont put the same kind of pressure on cotto wich would make cotto the pressure fighter. and cotto fights better when he's the agressive fighter putting pressure. fair point. you didn't think it was concerning watching the number of times cotto has clottey against the ropes and just watched him or back away? I don't know about you guys, but I think tony took a lot out of miguel. he did not look the same tonight & i cant help but wonder if he's now on the downside of his career? Based on how he looked, I think at this point pbf toys with him & pac possibly stops him. I love miguel and all but he does not look like the same fighter tonight. granted the cut played a part and clottey is a very good fighter, but miguel looked fatigued early. he ate a lot of clean shots, was being backed consistently, didn't go to the body as much etc etc. Just my opinion. The win of Margarito is in question cause he might have use plaster in his wraps. How can this fight show that Margarito took something out of Cotto. Cotto had a cut in the fight but kept going. Cotto showed heart in this fight. what i learned from this fight is that marg did use plaster. marg punches slower and with less power than clottey and marg did alot more damage than clottey plus marg was able to wear down cotto quicker than clottey.

Why don't you guys just give Clottey his props. Hes tough but not as tough as i thought..He got knocked down in the first round which was shocking..Couldnt even execute even with Cotto very badly cut..He was whining and trying to jump out of the ring when Cotto cornered him.What the hell was that about? This man just doesnt have the fortitude which is why i knew he would lose a decision...

Well Cotto and Margarito would never be the same again after their fight imo, they both took something out of each other... Yea, that's what I think. Watching this fight, Cotto is just not the same. I still think he edged it, but it's clear him and Tony ruined each other.

Cotto is a WARRIOR and a great fighter but...That being said Margo beats Cotto hand wraps or not cuz of Margo's style and the way he fights!

It may have been the cut but he did seem shakey at times...

I dont know what ppl expected here lol...It went just like how i thought it would..Cotto getting headbutted but i didnt expect something so terrible like that gash..That was grounds for the fight to end..Dunno how he could continue like that for 8 rounds blind..

Agreed! but TS,I have the same feeling too. Hope Cotto proves me wrong. That makes two of us, nothing but respect for the man.
