Can someone please explain to me how Clottey looks weight drained.
I have seen this many times now in some topics. My question is, have none of you seen Clottey fight before? The man always looks this way(at weigh in's)...
Is this wishful thinking? Why does it even matter if you are a Cotto fan(those are the main ones I have seen saying this)?
Clottey looked just fine to me...I don't know...Maybe I just wasn't looking to find a flaw.
I don't think you can base your opinion of how a boxer looks by his pictures at the weigh in. Clottey normally comes in to welterweight fights at anywhere from 155-158lbs, so of course at the day of the weigh in he will look a bit lanky he's "drained" of all his water. Tomorrow he will look like Josh Clottey, and I hope all you lucky guys who are going to the fight get a good one... Lucky bitches:fing26:...
He looks healthy enough to catch a beating to me.
Just like The Mets did.
Rauuuuuuuuuuuuuul!
You ****er hahahahaha You know that those victories don't count.......next time if we still have Delgado and Reyes out.....sit Jrollover and Howard.....and then talk smack hahahahaha
P.S. I'll be rooting for Boston Hard Tonight!
People take too much out of the weigh in. Someone looks more determined than the other, one looks weight drained etc. The fight is where we can tell who is in shape and who is determined to win. All of this other stuff is frivolous.
I agree 100%.
well if you look at the other photo i posted ,he's shiny and moist. Alot of fighters are dry in weigh in because it's evidence to how hard it was for them to make weight. Clottey is usually very moist.. it's probably harder to hit 147 now thus he's dry on weigh in.. so this will be the first time he's had to train as hard as he has.
I wouldn't call it a bad thing at all though, personally I think it shows how dedicated he was for this fight than previous ones.
I gotcha...

Thank you. Someone answered a question on NSB!!! Hell must be freezing over!!!!
Not one person gave me a explaination till you. Thank you sir. I don't agree, but thank you anyway.
Plus how can you tell if he is dry, alot of fighters look dry at weigh in's, am I wrong?

I think it is nothing but wishful thinking on the part of some fans(not yours, you seem to be a straight up guy).
I think some of these clowns on this site though, like to read far to deep into things, and many just follow along.

Every fighter is 'weight drained' in every fight now TS. It's the new BS catchphrase.
That right there folks^^^was the behind the scene point I was trying to make.
Thank you sir.
Well as you can see I am a BIG Cotto fan but lets go by facts: He looks fine. The only thing is that he border line made the 147....which tells me he was still cutting weight today.....Cotto on the other hand made it with ease...146.....So perhaps that's why people are saying that, but Clottey looks fine and even had the spirit to try to get under Cotto's skin.....it he was so "drain" he sure didn't show it with his body language.

It is mainly Cotto fans pointing this out, not Clottey fans. I have no excuses...He looks ok to me.
I'm wondering where people get this stuff from.

Clottey looks exactly the same.. the only difference in the weigh in was that
he was 'Dry" which could mean drained (probably harder to cut weight now),
and he actually flexed his arms and abs for once.
and for everyone who said clottey is so much bigger than cotto.. if two guys weigh in at 147 how much bigger do you expect one to be from the other? LMFAO don't be dumb. it's AFTER the weigh in that you find out who the bigger man is.. and clottey will be huge tomorrow.

Does it really matters? Truth to be told, the weight is not going to be a problem for either man.....if he made the WW limit (147) this afternoon then done deal....whether he was "drain" or not it doesn't matter anymore........he will have enough time to rehydrate so is not going to be a problem.....been said that, I don't want anyone here using this BS as an excuse if Cotto beat him......enough said!
