Why is it when a British fighters loses for the first time he should retire? yet, we have fighters like Zab and Roy Jones fightin on past their prime. nothin gets mentioned?
I have always wonderd this, why don't American fighters get told to call it a day?
This is not a hate thread, happen to be fans of both fighters. think it is a fair question to be honest.
Zab has the skills to stomp the shit outta' anybody on Manny's resume.
David Diaz couldn't beat Judah in his mama's dreams.
They never fought.
i can't tell if you're serious or not. anyway, diaz beat judah at least twice in the amateurs.

Didn't he lose to David Diaz before? Anyways I don't know what the thread starter is talking about...People have been saying Roy just have retired years ago. No one really cares about Judah.
I want Hatton to retire because I like him, he has nothing to prove and should quit before something happens. He will never be P4P number 1 hes been an undisputed champ and a champ at 2 weights. Roy should have retired after Ruiz for real. Judah shouldnt retire until I see him do the chicken dance again.
j/k :boxing:
You know how it is though some people are delusional when it comes to Zab just because he has skills
hand speed is not synonymous with skill. just sayin'...
Judah aint a top level fighter anymore, but that doesnt mean he should retire yet.
last time I checked, he busted up Cotto pretty well(If only for 2 rounds), and gave Clottey a decent fight.
his time is running out quick, but hes still a meaningful name, and at least has a little left even if hes fallen off a decent amount.
no way, man. i've been saying it for awhile now. i don't care if zab is at 154, 147, or 140. he's done at the highest level. the idea that zab will magically regain whatever he has lost by going back down to 140 is ridiculous.

They could be wheeling Judah out to the ring in his wheel chair when he is 60+ and the American fans will still think he is capable of winning a world title again.

its more than just Americans that said Hatton should retire.
which is dumb to me anyway. Oh, Hatton lost to two of the best fighters of the last few years. how embarressing, he should retire.
wtf?
Hatton has a while to go, imo. should fight Ortiz after Ortiz fights Maidana.
and I dont think Zab should retire yet...Jones is just an embarressment now, I would kind of prefer if he retired a year or two ago.

everyone has been calling for both of those fighters to hang 'em up for awhile now.
edit- what british fighters are you referring to? i honestly have no clue who you're talking about.
Hatton has serious defense issues throughout his career, and having floyd mayweather snr and or freddie roach will not fix this since I'm sure Snr was showing him that you need to have defense against fighters with speed, power, like pacquiao. I mean what was Ricky Hatton looking at? Didn't he notice how Manny kept his arms up with a guard? Can Hatton do that with his own guard or are his arms too small or something?
