This should be reserved for the more competitive, sure-to-please kind of fights like Cotto-Clottey. Even sideshows fights like Pacquiao-DLH get the nod over quality match ups. It's only the names that matter.
I mean, Cotto Margarito didn't get a 24/7, but this does? Come on...

I think the competitive prospects for the Cotto-Clottey fight could be overrated because I've got a feeling that Clottey is gonna go in there and go into a shell like he did in that fight with Margarito as the rounds wore on. People are just sleeping on JMM's chances to upset Floyd or at the very least, give him a tough competitive fight. And that's not right.
The saddest thing is that it's still only about 4 rounds. :lol1:
Roy won 1 round against Calzaghe
Oscar and Ricky didn't win a round between them against Manny.
Try 2 rounds.
Marquez is Mexico's number 1, Floyd is undoubtly the number 1 American Fighter. Of course it does deserve a 24/7...as hyped as i was for De La Hoya/Mayweather, Hatton/Mayweather, Jones/Calzaghe, Pacquiao/Hatton, I didn't even watch those 24/7's. I like the way this story feels, Marquez/Mayweather 24/7 i'm watching that one for sure.
Come on fam.. You don't need to quote Mayweather directly. Lol
Mayweather MADE 24/7. He will have a series for every fight he has until he retires for good. If Mayweather wasn't around, there would be no 24/7, which is the best show ever, so instead of hating on him, thank him for being a good personality and getting even more exposure to the sport by the creation of 24/7.
Does anybody here cares about this fight? I am not talking about Floyd fans or Marquez fans (they care) I mean the rest....Because I dont care about Floyd vs Marquez at all. I didn't care about Pac-Hatton until 24/7.
This fight is no tune up. Marquez is much too good a fighter to be considered a tune up especially for a guy with no fight for 19 Months.
I think Marquez's background will be interesting. I'm pretty tired of the same people on 24/7. I know it's done to hype the fight though.
You know it's going to be the same shit with Floyd and Uncle Roger. Them "reconciling" with Floyd Sr. A lot of it is so scripted imo. I just hope the fight is competitive and interesting like Pacquiao/Hatton was.
I bet JMM is gonna win more rounds than Jones did against Calzaghe, De La Hoya did against Pacquiao, and Hatton did against Mayweather and Pacquiao all combined. Lol.

Can we stop with the weight myths, already? He doesn't have to eat his way up. In fact, he'll still be cutting a moderate amount of weight.
As was I. Amongst pundits, fans, analyst, Floyd was more favored over Hatton than Pac was over Hatton. You should know this K. Writers and "experts" was like, "Hatton doesnt deserve to be in the same ring with Floyd."
Damn fam! It was not that extreme. Jeez..
I wasn't talking Vegas odds. I meant from the standpoint of a fair fight.

Even match up? Floyd was HEAVILY favored over Hatton more than Pac was over hatton.
Hatton/Pacquiao was supposed to the most competitive of the 2.
