I can agree on that.
BUT i dont think Tito would hurt hop with that patented lefthook. Yeah he can make 160 comfortably but look at him is his early fights. he's a ****in LightHeavy.
I dont blame him for fighting @160 you dont blame a fighter if he can compfortably make a certain division and that's good for him as a fighter same with Marg.
But i really think Glen Johnson was his best win because of what Glen has accomplished and they are the same size.
Hopkins is a big middleweight no doubt. I feel that if a fighter can make a weight division comfortably then he is natural at that weight.
I don't think Tito could of hurt Hopkins either, his defense was too good and Hopkins chin is very good anyway.
Johnson hasn't accomplished much but is a good fighter and a good win on Hopkins resume.
Hopkins at this stage of his career is a natural light heavyweight. he could still make 168 at this stage though.
For most of his career he was a natural middleweight.
I can agree on that.

Glen Johnson >>Tarver>Pavlik
Bernard Hopkins is a natural Light Heavyweight :boxing:

dude i was being sarcastic lol, hop is one of my favourite fighters, i was making fun of idiots like chico79 or whatever he is
Thats cool.
I thought something was wrong. :lol1:
Tito took him out in 5 rounds with ease. Hopkins couldn't even take Joppy out in 12 rounds and he was putting a serious whooping on Joppy.
People also tend to forget that Tito was the favourite to win that fight and was supposed to KO Hopkins. The excuse that Tito was a blown up welterweight only exists because Hopkins schooled him.
By the way list all these small welterweights that Hopkins picked on....
Hopkins best wins
Trinidad
Tarver
Pavlik
Johnson
Wright
De la Hoya
Trinidad simply because it put him on the map as a 3-1 dog. His life story came out that fight, he took full advantage of the press coverage to set himself up for stardom. The Tarver fight goes 2nd for me. Again a 3-1 dog, coming off a pair of losses to Taylor. Questions arose, & he answered them by going up to light heavy & dominating Tarver who was then the man. F*ckin awesome, what a true champion is made of.
Jermain Taylor
Seriously though, depends what you mean by best. Most significant and most impressive performance was Tito. Glen Johson is my personal favourite. But Tarver might be the best one cos he was being written off and had moved up two weights to completely dominate the guy.
Good post, Jeffries.
Thanks.:439:
delahoya , trinidad , wright...... could have fooled me.
Yeah, but look how good those guys' records are at MW and above.
DLH: 1-1, should be 0-2.
Trinidad: 3-3, wins being Cherifi, Mayorga and Joppy.
Wright: 3-2-1, wins being old Quartey, Sam Soliman and Tito.
Wait, nevermind.
Felix Sturm should've said that.
He softened up DLH for that.
Hop just feasted on Sturm's leftovers.
Everyone knows it.
I've always seriously questioned that "fall" of De la hoya's in that fight...It just looked so staged..But regardless of sturm and the questionable ko of oscar, Hopkins still technically beat him and it did make him the new king.
Well that's also my example for when people talk about the quality of most of Hopkins' MW defenses. Except for Tito and DLH, much smaller men, not much different that Calzaghe's defenses, really.
Besides Winky and B-Hop, who else would have beaten prime Tito at 160?
