It seems like a two sided war in here since the return of Mayweather, the Floyd side mostly seem to praise him and hate on Manny, the Pac side seems to praise Manny and hate on Floyd. Just wondering if anyone in here is a fan of both of them?

I'm a fan of both and ulike most, I'm able to separate their accomplishments and what defines them as a great fighter.

Look at my sig.. fav boxers.
I like Pacquaio a lot, but i am a really big mayweather fan, so it kind of sucks as they are both competing for P4P number 1. Since its like that even though i really like pacquaio i don't want him to do better than mayweather so i sometimes hope he fails.I DONT LIKE being like this but thats how it happened and it sucks cant change my feelings:(
i like diffrent things about them.
Floyd inside the ring is great, his skills are unquestionable.
but outside the ring, and his management, i hate.
i like everything about pac.
Exactly...
I like both fighters. Its hard though when fighters have fans who are not fans of the sport but just fans of that one fighter. I will root for Floyd if they fight and I have been a fan of his for a while now but in most other situations I will root for Pac.
I do.
Pacquiao's one of the most entertaining fighters in recent years, and I love watching Mayweather's technical and athletic brilliance.
The way Mayweather opened up on Hatton in round 8, his use of angles, rotating his body so he could get good angles on the body and head and hit with more leverag....beautiful.
Imma go watch that now.
they are both my favorite fighters of this era, i want to see this fight real bad and at the same time i dont, i really dont knowto to go for.i almost dont even want to fight because i dont want to see either loose but i have to watch it cuz im such a fan of the sport and these 2 guys
I am a fan of both, I agree reading some posts at the scene shift your feelings a little. But you have got to remember that a lot of fans here are full of shit.
If you're a fan of what Pacman stands for, then its impossible to like Floyd. Pac is about going out there to prove he's the best. A "real" rags to riches story. Floyd on the other hand is living off of what he did a decade ago, and fights only for checks, not bragging rights or to prove he's the best (he said so himself).
Now u can be a Pac fan, and still admire/respect Floyd's skills, but its hard to like a guy like Floyd. What I dont get is that he chooses to play the villian, yet whines and complains when he gets bashed. Dont play the bad guy, and expect not to get trashed.
I don't know, that's assuming I believe everything that comes out of Floyd's mouth. I take his little bad guy thing with a grain of salt. Also, I'm not a fan of a fighter's personality, as we can't ever really know a person from watching them in interviews and on television. They create whatever image they want. Now, you can like a boxer's personality, and have it influence your feelings towards them, but if you base your interest in them or their career mainly off of the image they portray, I feel like you're being a bit naive. (Not necessarily you personally.)
I'm not a fan really of what any boxer stands for. Manny Pacquiao is still just a guy trying to get a check, even if he has a good mentality behind it. He's not fighting for free. Likewise, Floyd does charity work, too- its just not always publicized. I've seen several charity events he's set-up that I've never heard him try and spin in the 24/7 shows and such like they do with Manny. They're trying to make Pacquiao a hero just like Mayweather is playing the villain. It's the nature of boxing.
As far as this whole 'Manny just fights for the love of the game' - well, we've already been told he's not too keen on taking a smaller split of the Mayweather purse- and even if he took 40%, he'd still be making millions and millions of dollars. Point? It's not just about the fans or the sport even with a seemingly nice guy like Manny. He still stands for himself first and foremost.
I like them both, though I have problems with both as well. Which often times leads to me being labelled a hater of both whenever I criticsize one of them.
You're just a hater
