mayweather has been a jordan fight..do your reasearch..jordan was at his fight with shamba mitchell..hes been a jordn fighter since then
Didn't Jordan walk out on his fight with Baldomir?
Making what up? I'm not trying to hate on either guy. I like both but I'm just stating what happened. Floyd was sponsored for one fight and turned a deal down. You sound like you just want to hate no matter what. Nike has sponsored Pac, Mayweather(even if it was just one fight), Oscar has a nike shoe(not a boxing shoe), RJ, Evander back in the day, Koki Kameda. Andre Ward is the newest boxer added to the Jordan lineup but they stated there will be more to come.
who are those several boxers?....lol...and stop making shit up...source?
I think some people are just trying to use it as justification to say Nike picked Pac so he must be a bigger name but the thread starter did not check facts before this and realize that Nike and Jordan made a play for Floyd AND sponsored a fight for him. Floyd ended up turning the deal down but it's pretty ridiculous. Nike has several boxers, not just Pac so it's not like they had to pick and choose just one.
I was wondering the same thing
Because Pac means more to one nation than Floyd does to the whole world?
Plus Floyd is inactive and Pac has just KTFO Hatton.
Just a quick reference, Paq was signed to Nike long before the Hatton fight.
Floyd had a deal in place before the Sharmba Mitchell fight with Jordan Brand. That's why it was in Portland and thats why Nike Jordan Brand sponsored the fight. They had something worked out and Floyd wore Jordan for the fight. Nothing came of it and Floyd said he didn't take the deal because he was planning to retire and didn't want to take the money. I don't really believe that because he still had a few fights after and they probably didn't give him the money he wanted. He wore pretty much Adidas after that. I don't know if theres been anything talked about recently.
ok...fa sho
Nah, the Jordan thing didn't work out. Floyd didn't take the deal that was offered after the Sharmba fight. He's been wearing Adidas

Floyd sponsors Jordan brand for his fights, he wears Jordan trunks and shoes. I heard him and Jordan are having talks about something, idk what but I know Jordan+Mayweather=$$$
FLoyd was actually going to sign with Team Jordan. If you can remember his first fight at 47 against Mitchell, he and his team had on ALL Jordan apparel. Team Jordan even had their logo on the promotion poster..

After the Mitchell fight he was even quoted as saying, "“I want to thank God, Michael Jordan and Nike.”
However, after he fought against Baldo and "retired", he turned down the offer.
cause pac is exciting.no matter what anyone believes about him and floyd, the more exciting guy is easier to sell.i like floyd's panama style boxing boots too.....
I believe telecommunications has a higher perceived value than sports apparel.
I'm sure they're both being compensated very well to represent the brands.
That's all that counts.

Well said, I could not see why they would sign Money. He would ask too much money compared to what he offers, Pac has a good personality and is a better potential role model for kids and he is an icon already in the Philippines.
Are we really arguing about who has the better sponsorship deals? What the **** is wrong with you all?
Oh but AT&T is worth more money than Nike, blah blah. This is getting pathetic. It's past it.
Nike has been worried about its market share in S.E. Asia for some time. Asian sportswear companies are aggressively undercutting Western corporations in the marketplace and Nike is losing out. Floyd Mayweather won't help them solve this problem. Indeed, he might well exacerbate it if he goes on to fight Pac and urinates on the Filipino flag or something.
name me one asian sportwear company that is outpacing Nike in terms of growth in south east asia....
im just curious
