Doug Fischer just made another article critisizing him regarding this whole Mosley fiasco.
So in the last 2 weeks they've critisized him for fighting Marquez; they made rumours that the fights at 147; they've put him 2nd to Pacquiao in the top fighter of the decade list (when the years not even over yet), and now have made this article.
The thing is, they not one mentioned when Floyd called out Mosley after the Brusseles fight. It must have slipped their mind!
You know, its one thing being biased but they actually seem as if they hate the guy.
These guys should be more subjective.
Its nothing got to do with GBP. These writers write what they want. Their all well known writers. These ent Golden Boy writers. These are boxing writers.
Nothing to do with GBP. GBP dont influence whats written.
I was buying that magazine religiously in 2008, never did they do a preview of an upcoming fight that was outside GBP fight.
Also, most of their indepth coverage were fighters that at the time were on GBP roster..
They didn't even do a preview of the summer's biggest fight..Margarito vs Cotto..
They did do a crappy ass article on Margarito for the cover issue in June or July of 08.. Wasn't until his win did they even do more articles about it.. I think it was because once they had him or pavlik on the cover.. they would sell a lot more..
I think we'll see Floyd fight JMM, Pac will duck Floyd for Cotto, Floyd will fight SSM, then after Cotto KOs Pac, Floyd will finish his career vs. Cotto.
The Ring mag have been criticizing Pretty Gay Mayweather even before GBP bought the magazine.
they shouldnt b but its all about money by blastin PBF could set a fight with shane,pac-man,cotto, or any other fighter, which i feel is going to happen anyways and not because of them. PBF is the best fighter out there hands down when will people see that, yeah shane is a good fighter so is pac-man and cotto but floyd will out class them any day of the week in ring
I think the Ring realizes what Pac's done this decade does exceed Floyd's. Pac won his first world title 2 months after Floyd. Been a champ longer than Floyd if you take into consideration his retirement. Spanned more weight classes. Fight better opposition moving up. Fought more exciting/memorable fights. Manny's been a world champion just as long as Floyd. The only thing Mayweather has the advantage is in ring boxing skills, he's the superior boxer. Pac is a better fighter tho. I think the Ring is saying Pac has stamped his legacy on this decade by the fact that Manny will have fought more this decade, more world titles, more lineal titles, etc. Only a Floyd stan will disagree, and some will even agree.
Cuz that mag is owned by GBP.. they want him to fight mosely.. so it's a personal attack to try and force Floyd to fight moseley after JMM (whether he wins or loses)
I agree. Same as if it`s leaning on Pac-Cotto, same agency Arum earns more.

their owned by Oscar
Yeh but the fans would rather him fight Pac than Shane, nah?
This is 50-50 homey. Some fans want Mr boat buyer to fight Pac for the unofficial p4p title, some want him to fight SSM for the WW title. I'll take the real title fight over the imaginary one personally. I stick to my guns on WW's fightin WW's, and neither JMM or Pac are legit WW's. Pac beatin DLH simply deluded a lotta cats into thinkin he could take a prime WW. If those fights were at 140, nothin wrong wit em, but apparently Mr boat buyer can't make 140 anymore. That's why I don't give a shit about those fights. I been wantin Mr boat buyer to fight a top WW for yrs, cuz that's why I quit likin the guy. And SSM outta JMM, Pac, and Cotto, is the 1 guy who don't get KTFO imo and presents the toughest challenge.
People know about that homey, and it has been documented by Dettloff and others at the Ring in the past. Mr boat buyer challenged SSM yrs back at a time he was movin up, past 140 and str8 to 147. In 06, SSM damn well knew his role in GBP. Big boss DLH wanted the big $ fight wit Mr boat buyer, and SSM wasn't gonna undercut the boss, so he balked wit that stupidass tooth shit. Circumstances blocked the fight before, but after the JMM fight, nothin stoppin Mr boat buyer from facin SSM. But he'll want Pac instead.

Fair enough, but shouldnt they have brang up that Floyds called out Mosley before and Mosley didnt want the fight?

Cuz Mr boat buyer is fightin at WW, but not against legit WW's.

floyd in his earlier days wanted to establish himself and would do whatever it takes - he constantly called out the best and ducked no-one at the lower weights. he did what he had to do to establish himself as a genuine boxing HOF and PPV attraction.
however since hes been at 140 and especially since hes been at 147 he has been cherry picking fights, he is in a priveliged position since working hard to establish himself and rightly wants to reap the fruits of his labour.
whats annoying alot of fans and especially the hardcore fans is seeing a fighter like mayweather make so much money and attract so much interest. this attention is diverted from other fights that are more meaningful fights - clottey/cotto and haye/klitch are just 2 examples of fights that should receive more attention that mayweather but won't.
this is what annoys me anyways,
unfortunately, it not only The Ring who has negative words for Mayweather.....look at the other Boxing websites, they are all saying the same thing
I was elated when I read tha Mayweather has a list....ill be happier to support him if he did fight everyone on that list.....

Cause they call a spade a spade.................
If that was the case they should have brang up how Floyd called Mosley out in 2004 and Mosley's response was that he had to go to the dentist.
Did this not happen? Am i lying?
