I know his fight night weight is listed at 147. But, in the second Pac/Hatton 24/7 (I think it was the second,) Roach said he noticed the fresh IV marks on DLH's arm, indicating that he was very recently hydrated, and told Pac to jump on him early, as it takes time for that water to rehydrate the muscles.
Anyway, Oscar looked very good at 150, 7 months prior, and probably would've looked a hell of a lot better at 147 had he not tried to come in lighter than Pac, perhaps trying to be faster. Either that or he figured he wouldn't get any credit if he came in 12 lbs heavier than Pac fight night, and he was about due to retire anyway, so why not challenge himself more in his final fight.

I'm now in a state of deep depression over the red k you sent me.
I'm in an even deeper one over someone I've never met or even chatted with over the internet telling me to kill myself over a spelling error.
Seriously, contribute to the thread, or I'll have to make sure you can't post in it.
But back on topic, I hear a lot of people not giving Pac any credit for fighting a zombie. First of all, he didn't know the guy would try to come in that light, he never had before. And secondly, maybe DLH wasn't quite as light as he had us all believe. And maybe, just maybe, Pac would have beaten the hell out of him no matter what weight he came in at, or how he prepared.
How much did he way???
Seriously.
Kill yourself.
Oh no, I used to wrong word, while in a hurry, in my second language. Anything else to contribute Bee?
Anyway, been wondering about that since seeing that 24/7. He probably couldn't have gained more than a couple of pounds after the second day weigh in, but I'd bet money he fought weighing more than Pac.
there was a clause in the contract that put stipulations on oscar's weight.
he couldn't weigh a pound over 147 for the weigh-in, OR the fight, or he'd have to pay pacman for every pound he came in heavier.....

If memory serves, Mr. De La Hoya found his way to the ring just fine that night.
there is no way Pacman outweighed oscar IN the ring. Oscar was clearly bigger and the fresh IV marks was a good point by roach and really sneaky by oscar if you think about it, waiting until AFTER the same day weight in to rehydrate.
Yeah I think Oscar was tired of all the "picking on little Pac" comments and tried to appear coming in the ring lighter than him. He wanted full credit if he won and an excuse if he lost. I don't think he counted on it causing him to lose most of the demand to ever see him fight again.
