Its 147 now.
Goddammit I'm getting all these mixed reports. Songalia just told me it's 143. Now it's 147.. Damn see now THAT makes a fuckin difference.
At least Marquez had fought weighing 141, which didn't seem to hamper him. But 14muthafuckin7??? Come on now... I gotta call bullshit on Floyd if this is true.
Nah it aint a targeting thing, and if it is take it as a compliment- I consider you a good poster and am trying to see why you feel a certain way about something. No hate tho bro- you are a good poster.
But for real tho... The basic rationale behind what you're saying is so up for debate that it can't be valid. Bodies change. People grow."Unrealistic weight for your body"... LOL. Normal human beings fluctuate in weight by way more than the couple of pounds that Marquez is coming up. He came in at 141 when it was the night of the fight against Juan DIaz. You know what this mean? It means that his body naturally rehydrated to a comfortable weight, which happened to be 2 pounds below the contracted catch-weight that he's fighting Floyd in. If Marquez is comfortable enough to fight at 141, what is 143?
Glad you clarified that homey. Bottom line is JMM is too fukkin small to fight at WW and the fight ain't fair. He's got balls enuf to do it and should be applauded for that. No one can logically expect him to have the same speed, power, timing, and reflexes at WW as he does at LW. Obviously anybody can bulk up to a higher weight if they feel like it. JMM didn't even have 1 fight at JWW and only had 2 at LW which he was just fillin out in. How anybody believes he'll be able to physically hang wit Mr boat buyer at 147 is fukkin ridiculous. But hey, to each his own I guess.

You're really hellbent on arguin wit me today huh homey? If you're movin up to a new weight as a career move, it's all good. If you're movin to an unrealistic weight for your body it just becomes foolish. Why bring up these past fights? You know damn well what I was referrin to homey.

Floyd vs Ivan Calderon at 144.! Make it happen.
Bullshit. Floyd's coming off a long layoff. Ironboy needs to go up to welter if he truly is the Ironboy. :boxing:
Hagler-Hearns
Leonard-Hearns
Jones-Ruiz
Whittaker-Chavez
Castillo-Corrales
etc, etc, etc..
Come on now.. If everybody stayed in their own weight division, there would have been so many meaningful fights that never happened.
You would have been one of those people who thought that Evander Holyfield should have stayed at Cruiserweight. LOL

Where as Floyd needs a handicap to beat smaller guys. Ahhhh whatever. Bring on Clottey/Cotto and Haye/Klit.
Not a problem since Floyd's moved up his whole career...for one fight he's doing the opposite...
Yea its a bullshit fight but if it leads to a bigger fight/superfight I aint disappointed...
Handicap? You mean killing yourself to get down to 142 is supposed to be a handicap? So Floyd giving ODH EVERY advantage AND fighting at 154 was him giving a handicap to a smaller guy right? You used to be rationale, Floyd brings the idiot out of you. On every other subject you are the shit but when it comes to Floyd all semblence of intelligence gets thrown out the window for bullshit.
Everybody should just fight fighters in their own fukkin division and dead this bullshit.
