Hopkins-Toney would be epic.

Epically boring... Fight would have been great 7 years ago at LH. Not anymore though for obvious reasons.

The problem with Toney is his temprament. In his prime he'd fly into a rage at the drop of a hat. His pre-fight antics with Barkley are the stuff of legend. A notorious wind-up merchant like Hopkins would make it his mission in life to get under Toney's skin. So much so that I'd almost expect to see Toney arrive at the weigh-in packing heat. Aside from screwing with Toney's mind (if that isn't enough) Hopkins's style would cause him a ton of problems. Toney loved fighters coming forward at him. Almost always they'd leave themselves open to his sledge-hammer counters. "Open" and Hopkins are two words you rarely see in the same sentence.

Hopkins-Toney at any age has the chance to be an old school classic. agree...definitely a fight for your collection.

If Toney could still make Cruiserweight then maybe, but he might be too weight drained to do anything. Plus he looks terrible at Heavyweight right now and has done for a while.

Nah you guys are missing the boat with what i said. I never said itd be exciting, but if you dont think this fight would pull out all the old school tricks your crazy these 2 guys are by far the best at it. Even if Toney is a fat slow slob.

Im not sure sure Toney wouldnt give Hopkins problems. Hopkins relies on outschooling his opponents with tricks. I think Toney is the only guy who can outdo him in that category.
