Without them, there would be ZERO legitimate talent at Heavyweight. NONE
Watching Kevin Johnson fight was pathetic. Vargas was rediculous out of shape and should have been KO'd in round 1. Johnson is incredibly feather fisted, throwing inaccurate and wild arm punches.
His defense SUCKS, he got hit almost at will by Vargas. Johnson is lucky that Vargas wasnt a bigger puncher.
Not only that but his best punch by FAR is his jab, and BOTH klitschkos have much better jabs then him.
He is HOPELESS in this division, and thats saying a lot. Heavyweights show no signs of life. Hopefully HAYE-KLITSCHKO is an exciting fight so that we have SOMETHING to give the division hope
Johnson will never amount to anything, he has too many flaws...lacks power, no foowork, defense sucks, no head movement, he was getting hit flush a lot by that bum Vargas, low workrate, dosen't throw enough punches.
maybe if he gets ktfo by ross puritty he will become heavyweight champion of the world later on.
no1 will take to boring personalities like the klitschkos have, thats it.
u have to be exciting, fluent english and have a big personality for the world to know you. nothing is racial about it
lol,,why's it seem like every floyd fan dislikes the klits
:wtf1:
Povetkin clearly beat Chambers
All of the best heavyweights are from Eastern Europe
You Americans have gone soft
Povetkin outworked Chambers in a fight where Povetkin showed a tremendous and frankly astonishing lack of skill. He didn't do anything but throw punches.
Chambers was kicking his ass in the early rounds. He simply shut down from the constant pressure due to inexperience. IF they fought at this time next year, there is little doubt in my mind that chambers would soundly beat Povetkin up
Lots of others coming up: Steffen Kretschmann, Andrzej Wawrzyk, Ondrej Pala, Andrey Fedosov, Mariusz Wach, Robert Helenius, Andrey Rudenko, Vladimir Tereshkin, Vyacheslav Glazkov and Sebastian Koeber, for example.
They are all physically fit and highly motivated.
dude none of them are talented at all though. Physical condition and motivation will only get you so far.
There are barely 12-15 good heavyweights in the world, let alone in Europe, total, let alone young ones.
There is the Wlad/Vitali section.
Then there is the Povetkin, Dimentreko, Haye, Johnson, Chambers, Arreola, Chagaev, and Valuev section.
Then for legit prospects? You bring up Boystov constantly so I went through his fights and frankly he does nothing impressive yet, though he is in his early 20s and has tons of time to improve. Pianetta? Come on. Ustinov is old and doesn't have anything but a bit of raw power. There are the newbie prospects like Fury and Price over in the UK or Wilder over here, but they are miles off being ready to fight anyone with a pulse, especially Wilder.
It is a weak division regardless of borders.
I'll say that it is improving slowly though. There are many matchups I'd be interested in watching for the first time in a while.
There are actually 12 to 15 good young heavyweights in Europe, but I agree the state of the division in the US is bad.
The top three in the US, Arreola, Chambers and Johnson, all have talent, but all three also have serious flaws.
If you want to watch good young heavyweights who are in shape, watch Bidenko vs. Boytsov on June 6.
lol there are not even close to 12-15 good young heavyweights ANYWHERE in the world. Most of these European Heavyweights are garbage, like Povetkin.
Chambers is the only guy i believe has some serious upswing and i think he will contend for a major world title soon... but i cant imagine him having success against a klitschko
And as much as i LOVE arreola and i love to watch him fight and he has a great personality... he is nothing special at all. He is a solid puncher but that is literally it
no1 will take to boring personalities like the klitschkos have, thats it.
u have to be exciting, fluent english and have a big personality for the world to know you. nothing is racial about it
They are SUPER popular in Germany though. 60,000 gonna be there for Haye fight
You are right because without them the heavyweight division would be completely shite
right now its just shite....
Im a VK fan dude always fights exciting fights
