man why are there som many ward haters. the dude has speed and skill. he holds but thats part of his pivoting and a way the dude switches.he schooled miranda and even bullied him in the ring. c'mon ward was superior and he's gonna take super middleweight supremecy then jump into the pound 4 pound list one day and lets see what u guys say then.

It was annoying as hell, he was pushing Miranda into the ropes and using his elbow at times. But, he fought a lot better than I thought he would, he pretty much outboxed and at times look to outclass Miranda.

Ward took a page out of the Nassem Richardson book. Combo clinch or come forward so your opponent cant throw. Other then that though Ward was dominate.

You do what you have to do. You box to win. He technically shut out Miranda in every way. It's good to tie up, it frustrates your opponent and stops him from getting his offense off. The less punishment you take the better. Look what happened to Taylor. And if the ref doesn't call it, why not continue to do it?

i thought it was an entertaining fight, there wasnt that many clinches really, and early on ward took quite a few right hands from miranda, but he took them, and adapted. i think he's gonna be very good in the future, he switched stances like every 30 sec, he is very skilled.

Drinkin couldn't even save that fight. I lost my enthusiasm quick.

To be fair both fighters were putting their head out their, the announcers were a bit biased but both head-butted each other a couple of times because both kept sticking their head out like insane... They should have thrown more uppercuts. Well, Miranda is limited to his right hand as the weapon though...

Ok fellas I just got done watching the fight and I see there are more then a few of you who feel the same as I do. I was sitting here watching the fight and during the first 2 rounds we saw a competitive match. Ward was cut by a head butt and the reff started getting on Miranda's case about being cautious about his head. For the rest of the fight although Ward did do some things that impressed me I watched the reff warn Miranda about this that and the third but never once say anything to Ward about holding, pushing Mirada's head down, use of his left elbows in the inside, running at Miranda and basically tackling him and shoving him to the ropes. Among that there was some hitting on the break by both fighter but I never saw a warning to Ward for that but Miranda was warned more then once. There was hitting behind the head by both fighters but I never saw Ward warned once. Ward even hammered Miranda with a shot after the bell and yes you guessed it no warning. Aside that there were a few low blows by Ward. What got me even more upset was the Showtime crew was quick to tout Ward and point out every little thing bad about Miranda but they acted like all the formentioned that Ward was doing wasn't even happening. They never mentioned it once. All they did was say how great Ward was fighting what a master piece he was showing us. I saw Ward winning the fight the reff allowed him to fight. I mean the home cooking must have tasted really good my friends. I see some posts on here saying Miranda is finished shot totally not true. The movement defintely had him going but he landed a few good hard right hands. The SLIP that happened with Ward going to the canvas I am not so sure it was a slip but we will never know because Showtime never gave us a replay on it. In all I am pissed with the fight the reff and the cast of showtime for being so biased....Lefty mannn don't get me started on this ref.. he was obviously going for ward to try and build themselves a fighter with a name.

This is my post before the fight Ward is gonna take this by decision. I bet on him, but I hope Miranda can pullit out. I don't like watching Ward fight even when he gets a stoppage or ko, dude is straight up boring. And Ward didn't disappoint.

Agreed, but he had to do that to win, wasn't going to risk it going toe to toe with Miranda that's for sure...

He was holding on the inside to keep Miranda from butting the shit out of him. He didnt start holding till after about the third butt.

This was relatively little for him.
