This isn't a hug/hate thread on any fighter, but I think we can all agree Pac is the face of boxing right now.
Given his dramatic rise in starpower, mainstream appeal, fighting style & personality we can see he has put the buzz back in our sport. Problem is, he might not be around much longer.
That being said, who do you guys think could reach the level pac has reached, if anyone?
Only guy I can really say is Juanma the way he's looking, but he's a long ways away. I thought maybe an Andre Ward a few years back but he's been really slow.
Thoughts...
Nonito "the filipino flash" Donaire.
The man is every bit as fast and strong for his size as Pacquiao
Every bit as skilled techinically as a Mayweather
Every bit as feared as Paul Williams in the lower weight classes.
Ask yourselves why has someone this talented has only fought twice in 2 years and been unable to get big fights??? Because he's got 4 whole weightclasses of world championship contenders shook.:boxing:
JuanMa, Valero, Ortiz, other rising fighters with "0", one Super-Featherweight Mexican and especially that Russian in the Pac-Hatton undercard, I forgot their names.
Yep...pwill too............his weight jumping ability..............probably the nearest thing to a threat against PAC and Oscars 6 division championship.................
Andy LEE or Jesse Feliciano
Honestly i still think Floyd is the face of boxing, but to anwser your question i think Paul williams he has the ability to move all the way to lh if he wants.
forgot about pwill, he's definitly got a shot. He can fight anywhere between 147 n 160 right now, that's huge.
