People discrediting wins for being "blown up", "too big", "past prime", or "overrated"
Definitely yes..
and when fighters or trainers claim their the best in the world but dont step up to the plate and challenge the the best instead make countless accusations of the other opponents accomplishments..
All time greats would say, "your better then me, prove it"
When people don't understand that the boxing business is still a business, and some boxers don't really care about their legacy but rather about maintaining a upper class lifestyle.
Boxing fanatics and the Boxing media!!! From openly saying their entertainment dollar is more important than a boxers health to calling boxers who have a hundred times more corage then any normal man cowards. I honestly feel like boxing has a collection of the dumbest and most ignorent sports fans/writers on the planet.
Boxing would be perfect if it wasn't for the fans and the media.

Idiot fans who won't respect a fighter because they don't like him personally. I'm a cotto fan but I respect Floyd and pacman's boxing skills and career. I might have my opinion on why a certain fighter ducks others but will still see fighter as a good fighter. Clottey, mosley, pacman, floyd are all good fighters !
how a boxers chin goes from granite to glass 1st time he's KOd
My main pet peeve:
Imaginary ATG lists that very few, myself included have. I dont have an ATG list, so I never comment on where certain fighters would be (unless it is above or below a certain fighter i know about) People harping on about (insert name) doesnt reach the top 50 etc when they dont have a top 50 and are picking a number out of their ass.
I know some posters are knowledgeable enough, and have actually taken the time to make such a list, but they are few and far between
Cosign homey. I'm outta K atm.
Fighters who talk shit about rival fighters, then rattle off a million reasons why they are not goin to fight them.
When fighters are down on the cards clearly, but refuse to go for the KO that's needed. I don't mind in lesser fights, but in big fights it's kinda disheartening.
Premature stoppages. If a fighter looks hurt but is still coherent, at least give him a few seconds to show he can stay in the fight.

You know I actually enjoy the triangle theories, the haters, the nuthuggers, the turncoats, and the excuse makers. Lets face it, could you imagine how horrifically boring the forum would be without them? My personal favourites are posters who (and you can spot these) go to great effort to use haughty language and 50-cent words in their posts and replies - as though everything they say is right out of a thesaurus. All the while, however, their posts are riddled with grammatical mistakes or mispellings.
Of course it goes the other way as well as Thread Stealer proved, some tend to look at those days with rose-colored glasses, forgetting that most of boxing was controlled by the mob in its glory days... Although the mob was probably less corrupt than today's promoters... :dunno:
Sometimes it's not even old days like the 1940s, it's even fairly modern like the 1980s.
When complaining about catch weights today, I've actually heard someone use Sugar Ray Leonard as an example of a fighter who wouldn't resort to catch weights.
Floyd refusing to fight anyone who has a chance of beating him, then making excuses as to why he shouldnt fight them, then fighting someone who he knows he can beat, then prattling on that he is the greatest ever with nothing but a cherrypicked resume, that really sucks!!!!
Myths.
Using Bert Sugar as an authority.
Thinking today's boxers are automatically better than those in the past.
I'm not against picking Miguel Cotto against Carmen Basilio but saying things like "today's fringe contenders would have easily beaten all of the greats in the past", "boxers have evolved" or "today's fighters are better athletes thus they are better boxers", etc.
No, Nikolai Valuev is not a better athlete than a prime Muhammad Ali and Ricardo Mayorga doesn't outbox Sugar Ray Robinson.

Reporters / journalists who's only phrase is "another black eye for boxing".
How undefeated fighters suddenly become "overrated" or "exposed" if you're not a fan of the guy who beat him.
Translators who don't translate accurately
Fighters saying "if it dont make dollars, it dont make sense". (I just want to see good fights. His income is not my concern)
Fighters who say they'll "fight anyone", but then have so many bullshit conditions that the best fights dont often get made (money, weight, gloves, location, ring size, etc.)
Catchweights
Forum posters who think they are qualified to negotiate purse splits, weights, etc., and anyone who disagrees with them is an idiot. (Example: Pac should get 90-10 and here's why)
when u try to discuss a decision with someone and they have no clue what they are talking about and just bring up obvious thing. "marquez was down 3 times!" "marquez was down 3 times!" yea i can count motherf.uckerer i still thought he won enough rounds.
when ppl say things like:
49-0, enough said.
46-0, enough said.
39-0, enough said.
its not really enough said at all if u dont know what fighters these guys were fighting. im not looking to talk down on floyd, joe or rocky right now.. just saying the record excuse is BS. i mean look at chavez jrs record. or hell look at his old mans recods before he stepped up in class. i dont know exactly when he stepped up but he had a big record without having really done shit.
When people talk in absolute terms (a fighter will never, so and so will never, so and so will always, this prospect will never, this prospect is a sure thing)
