Just because Mayweather made Marquez look like his son doesnt mean Marquez is some push over fighter.
Marquez ktfo'd Diaz and casamayor back 2 back, two guys who had never been out before. Marquez gave Pac problems because hes a bad mother phucker.
im wondering, do you know when did pac or his team said hes moving up to 135 or struggling a little to make 130?
Before the Marquez fight--he commented that he planned to move up to 135 and 140.

After having great difficulty making 130 lbs against Marco Antonio Barrera last October, Manny Pacquiao’s weight, far ahead of his March 15 rematch with Juan Manuel Marquez, might just turn out to be a weighty issue.
Pacquiao did make the weight, and beat Barrera in 12 rounds. But shortly after, even Pacquiao said that should be his last fight at 130 lbs. — until the doors opened for a rematch with Marquez.
“Yes, he can,” assured one Pacquiao’s many advisers, Wakee Salud, who added that making the weight for what could be the Pinoy boxer’s last fight as a super-featherweight shouldn’t be a problem.
Still, Pacquiao is bent on moving up in weight, and according to his promoter, Bob Arum, up next for the 29-year-old brawler is WBC lightweight (135 lbs) champion David Diaz in June or July or even Ricky Hatton at 140 lbs in November.

so, pac was already having a little problem making 130 since his 2nd fight against barrera
This is also what I've heard, Pacquiao also waited for so long for Barrera and him to meet again.. I remember that after Pacquiao fought Morales and then came Morales-Pacquiao II...Barrera was at that time trying to lure Pacquiao into a rematch and set an ultimatum.. but Pac was set for the Morales fight at the time... And when Marquez decided to fight for a rematch... Pacquiao acknowledged it.
After Pac-JMM 1 fight, Pacquiao wanted an immediate rematch, JMM was offered more than $500,000 or $900,000 I think. But JMM decided to fight Chris John instead for $30,000.
Nah, it was just he was more cautious because of his last fight with Marquez. Also, as will very often happen, when he was caught and hurt in the first round it made him a bit more wary to wade in without caution.
I don't agree with the weight issue at all. He fought a hard, fast and great fight for twelve brutal rounds and you simply can't do that if you are weight drained. Oscar was weight drained, Pac was not. He might have looked thin at the weigh in, but he often does and he made the weight first time, spot on with no problems and rehydrated a ton right after to a very high weight which also shows no signs of weight drain or ill effects.
Great fighters never look as good against other great fighters. They look great against good fighters and fighters who play into their style, but like most counter punchers, Marquez is hard to look good against. That's why he is so good.
What's funny is the people that bitch and whine when anyone says that Oscar was weight drained and they come back with the old "No, he wasn't Pac was just so good." Of course when he fights a great fighter and doesn't look so crash hot himself suddenly he's weight drained? He looked better in that fight than he had in most of his fights previous to that and fought hard, twelve fast rounds. If he had been exhausted by the sixth or seventh round and not throwing, then I could understand, but when you look at a fighter that is actually weight drained and then at Manny and his previous fights, you can see he fights better, it just happens that it's against a better opponent. He also got hit with some serious body shots throughout that really hurt him and you can see him wincing from quite a few really hard body shots which would have contributed a lot.
But, this is one of those fights which anyone claiming the 'weight drained' thing is just a daft wanker. A guy doesn't fight as good as ever or even better and be weight drained. A guy doesn't throw a ton of punches across a brutal, hard twelve round fight if he is weight drained nor does he come on stronger towards the end of the fight if he is weight drained.
marquez pacquiao 2 coulda gone either way man, but it shoulda been a split and it was, i just think marquez won, but as far as pacman fans saying manny was weight drained, im sure that manny would say dude dont start with excuses for me. same thing goes to oscar and thats the point i was trying to make when i went with that, no excuses dude just knew how to beat you, any boxer at the top level could probably beat any boxer its just how you prepare yourself and who wants it more, i hate roach but he prepares manny well and they have a good bond so manny executes everything roach says, hes a good student man same thing with marquez and bereinsten or however u spell his name but dont make excuses for splits ds or loses man
i hate how marquez and marquez fans always say pacquiao ducked him for the first rematch n tha 2nd rematch, when pacquiao asked for a rematch asap in 2004 and marquez said no and fought chris john instead and LOST and pacquiao and freddie roach sed in videos on BOXINGSCENE.COM and in 24/7 that theyll fight marquez again a 3rd time at 140, but marquez keeps saying pacquiaos ducking him and marquez fans believe it lol. just thought i'd say that, there is not one time pacquiao or roach sed NO to the 2nd or 3rd fight, but Marquez sed NO to a rematch in 2004/05 and sed because of money, blah , blah, blah, etc.... guzman, valero, mosley, cotto, soto, diaz, etc.. all want to fight pac, pac can only fight ONE at a time, but people will always say hes duckin sumone lol, marquez should avenge his lost to chris john and get off pacquiaos dick and i thought barrera got robbed against marquez imo...
the first pac - marquez fight pac was outboxed but on the scorecards he should of won
maybe others peoples scorecards were different but the judges shud of scored it a win.
not one of the knockdowns in rd one was a slip so one judge should of scored it 10-6 like the others did.
2nd fight was a back and forth war.
everyone seems to forget marquez was floored yet again, that marquez ate alot of leather and that it was a rly close, tough fight.
i can see how people scored it one way and the other.
what i would like to know is, are there any pac fans that scored the win for marquez and any marquez fans that scored the win for pac.
cause it looks like fans picked there guy everytime
suprising how pac man fans jump on that fight and use the weight as an excuse, how bout you pac man fans say the same about oscar de la hoya, cuz you wont,
we dont have to dummy cause everyone else does
1 thread talking about manny being drained vs. 90 threads about oscar being drained
suprising how pac man fans jump on that fight and use the weight as an excuse, how bout you pac man fans say the same about oscar de la hoya, cuz you wont, styles make fights man, marquez just knew how to fight pacquiao, he did the same twice man, dont use that weight drained bull shit excuse, i bet pacman would tell you to not make excuses for him, why? cuz there shouldnt be two men going to fight, set weight, equal chance ok

Excuse. I wonder what his excuse was for the first fight when he could barely muster a draw that he didnt deserve?
Your countrymen was the one chantting Si se puede! the whole time and Pac barely muster a draw? You should thank the judge who made a mistake scoring a 3 kd rnd 10-7. Excuse.. Excuse my ass!
Did anybody notice in this fight that Pacquiao didnt really seem like himself, didnt seem like he had that much energy or sumthing, usually he fights like sumbody just ripped him off, but in that fight he just didnt seem to have the fire & fury, anyone else notice that or am I trippin??, sumthin definetly wasnt right there, sumthing was missing.
He was weight drained in that fight.

He was about to fight David Diaz because he can`t fight at 130 anymore, when Marquez called him out of his cave, questioned his kingship. He was actually fighting weight-drained, yet was lucky to win. He was pale. (Roach said before the fight that Pac was over-trained and majority of his training was for weight reduction, little sparring)

don't make excuses, jmm will always be a stylistic nightmare for pac
Weight problems my ass. Shit, even the first Marquez/Pacquiao fight was fought at the same pace as the rematch, and that was Pacquiao at his peak of being a fu#ken buzzsaw(remember his fight with Barrera before the first encounter with Marquez.). Marquez is just amazing and you haters need to admit it already.
