If weight wasn't an issue would you consider Marquez the best talent Floyd has fought

JMM still is the best talent Mr boat buyer has faced. The WW catch don't take away his pure talent, it takes away his physical attributes, strength, speed, reflexes, punchin power, etc.

Which one do you feel has the better chin? Hard to say, probably would go with Floyd because he is naturally bigger. Both have been knocked down. Mayweather by zab judah, and Marquez by Pacquiao.

I'd say yes to that, and I love how the floyd fanatics compare Marquez to the bums that leave their hands low that Floyd KO'd earlier in his career. Takes alot of talent to KO someone who is a brawler and has no defense. Besides weight,yes no doubt!

Nah zab judah was the best fighter Floyd Fought, He had to switch his style to beat him and he got knocked down and outshined for the first 4/5 rounds.

He sure the hell was defensive against Hatton, what the hell are you saying? Are you honestly saying Floyd for the first time in a long time is going to try to be a brawler and leave himself exposed? That would be one of the worst gameplans ever, he is a chess player. He wasnt that defensive. Hatton is just a bull. He was just bulling his way in and smothering Floyd. He's so dumb that his corner told him the whole fight that he's even smothering his own punches. Anytime there was room, Floyd lit him up. Its not about being a brawler because Floyd isnt that type but you can still be offensive minded and do it with skill. I think he did that in nearly all his fights at 130 and then he started a good run at 135 on up where he stopped N'Dou, Bruseles, Gatti, Mitchell, Hatton, while droping Corley twice, and wearing down Zab. He brought the fight to all those guys except for Hatton and thats only because Floyd was content on letting Hatton come to him because he knows thats his style and he could easily counter. I think Floyd will Gatti JMM if the layoff doesnt hurt him much

I totally disagree with that. I swear people are sleeping on Floyd so much and Im about to make a thread about it tonight or tomorrow. Floyd does not fight defensive against guys his own size. He will take this fight to JMM and knock him out. I will give JMM credit and say that if there's any righty in history that can hit Floyd clean then its him because he throws his punches so precise and straight down the pipe and Floyd could be rusty but I still cant see him landing much. I think Floyd walks him down and dominates him "if" he wants to. He might take his time with being rusty but he still will be offensivley aggressive and JMM wont counter him well like those other guys he's faced. JMM does have some defensive flaws, that hopefully he can work on a bit. But for the most part it is going to be one of the best and most intelligent fighters Floyd has ever fought. This is brain vs brain, this will play out like a chess battle. If either of them are stupid enough to try and brawl, one of them will get KO'd and sometimes JMM has a bad mentality and does like to brawl it up. His mexican heart speaks volume but sometimes it leaves him too open for counters when he starts fighting with his heart and not his brain. I was shocked about how much punishment JMM took against Diaz, that isn't to say Diaz isn't a good fighter but I'd label Diaz as a good brawler type fighter who looked to throw a bunch of flurries and some of those flurries caught JMM. I hate floyd because of his boring style, but I think the only way to beat someone like him to outpoint him and have a solid defense yourself. Oscar was outjabbing floyd in their fight, but thats not to say Floyd might have fought a bit more cautious then he normally does because he was in the ring against a bigger man. The only way to beat Floyd is to out-think him, to out land him. And its not impossible to do, hell even that knuckle-head Zab Judah was outpointing Floyd early in their fight.

If jmm was a 147lbs. ww, it would be floyd's toughest fight to date. But jmm is not a ww, he's a lightweight and floyd has the advantage in all categories. Jmm will not be able to hurt floyd not even wobble him or make him flinch. Only floyd can lose this fight if he doesn come prepared to fight.

My question is why does everyone keep asking this like its such a big deal? What's wrong with JMM being the best talent that Floyd has ever faced? Its not like the guy isnt ranked 2nd in the world and even 1st by alot of people. Weight aside he's going to be the best that pretty much anyone has faced just like Floyd is going to be the best talent that all his opponents have faced. Either way you can say what you want but JMM is not more talented then Floyd and it will show in this fight. I bet anything that everyone but the mad haterz will come away from this fight thinking that Floyd is P4P a better fighter then JMM and the weight wouldnt have mattered at all
