I agree with Warren to some extent (and for once).
Although Hatton was in the ring with an amazing fighter and was completely outclassed, I still feel everything about his fighting game has disintegrated to a bare minimum and he is no longer in his prime. I don't think he could deal with Amirs come forward style and would suffer trying to avoid Khans big flurries.
Its a fight that would sell out the whole country in the UK and I think it should happen, a HUGE win for Khan if he succeeds and a massive boost to his career and if Hatton wins, a good farewell fight for the fans.
How do you see it?
It's a HUGE risk. But if it pays off, Khan will be on top of the world and will have the opportunity to fight anyone he wants (in realistic range of course).
This fight is just never going to happen. If Ricky fights again, he has unfinished business with Junior Witter.
It would be stupid for him to fight Witter now, after all that time dodging him(im not saying he was csared of him) to saying "ok il fight ya know".
Certainly got talent. Whilst Roach might have Hatton's number having the fighter to put a plan into action is another matter, Khan is no Pacman.
The million dollar question is will he keep those hands up Naz had lots of talent too but still was making schoolboy errors.
Nas had a chin and great movement in the ring so he could afford to make mistakes, Khan listens to Roach and after his loss he knows he cant afford to slip up again, i dont see Hatton winning, Khans handspeed and accurecy would win him the match.
I think it is a risky Fight for Khan, not in the ring but outside the ring, all of britian loves Hatton and if Khan was to beat him imagine the hate and racism he would recieve, british people say Khan doesnt deserve a belt well Look at what belt Hatton won on his 23rd fight(the WBU belt) he only won a respectable world title belt in his 39 fight against Kostya Tszye(IBF) people are criticle of Khan even tho he is just a young lad and expect him to fight very big fights when he aint ready. I love Ricky Hatton but i hate some of his fans(the minority who are idiots, like the twats who booed khan at the weigh in).
Give Khan 2/3 years and he will be in his prime, yes he is young but he is not on top of his game, still good enough to beat todays Hatton tho
Tougher fight for Hatton than many people think. For a start, Roach has his number. That's a big enough obstacle to deal with.
Yes, Khan has a questionable beard - but I'm pretty such Prescott would have knocked Ricky onto Queer Street with the same punch. It was a truck.
Khan has extremely fast hands, puts combinations together well, has all the shots and is not feather-fisted. If he keeps the fight at range he gives Ricky all sorts of problems. Hatton will eat those combos all night long and at this stage in his career - minus his punch resistance - I'm not sure how many rounds of punishment he could take.
If the ref allows Ricky's WWE stuff it could be a different fight. Look, Khan has to concentrate on that Patterson peek-a-boo-style defence. If he keeps his hands high he's a nightmare for anyone in that division. Say what you like abou the kid - there's no doubt he has boxing talent.

If Khan shows more defensive inprovement against Kotelnik, and wins the title, then I would pick him over Hatton.
Khan might not be as powerful as Manny, but he is certainly as strong as Lazcano, and his speed will increase this threat. He also has near equal hand speed to Manny, and that will pose huge problems for Hatton.
Remember, Khans chin is only a problem if Hatton can hit it. If not, I fear a defensively improved Khan would stop Hatton early. Ricky just can't walk through punches anymore. Plus Roach will focus on Khans hooks, which will put Ricky more in trouble.
Prediction: Khan will be an underdog, but I feel at this point in Hattons career he will be too much for him. Khan before 5.
It's alright Chunk, we're right.
Khan is accurate as they come, that Gomez fight was ridiculous, Hatton would come in with similar lack-of-head-movement and get hit about 760 times like Gomez did. It depends on whether Khan can hurt Hatton, and I think he can it this stage, therefore he wins. Stoppage.
Wouldn't neccessary argue, like you say it depends whether Khan has enough power. He certainly hasn't the power of pacman. So Hatton will get hit no doubt of it, no doubt he can hit as well. So its just can Khan stop him before Hatton lands and if/when Hatton lands can Khan absorb it. One of those that you wont know until it happens and see how shot or not Hatton is. Hatton is at the stage of his career where he can't iron out his faults, Khan should still be working on his. If Khan keeps developing and accepts that he is far from the finished article then he should have more than Hatton. Still got major reservations about him though.
I agree Khan/Roach have the game that could beat Hatton. It would come down to just how powerful Khan is, and I'm still not sure on that score. Hatton will take punches in order to land his own, but he will land enough to either KO Khan or slow and tire him enough to pile on the rounds for a decision unless Khan does some real damage. And, despite the idiot comment earlier in thead, with Hatton that's far from easy. Better fighters than Khan have tried and only two p4p kings have succeeded. But is Hatton the fighter he was?
Interesting possibility, but I still hope Hatton calls it a day, to be honest. All I can see in the fight for him is a payday, and he really doesn't need the money. It does nothing for his career, IMHO the only fights that might do that at present are Bradley or JMM (assuming the latter losing to PBF).
Screw it bring it on right now. It will sell huge and makes sense for both fighters. Both have a great chance to win and both bring enormous attraction to a UK event. Great idea.
This is exactly the fight Hatton should take. It makes big money in the UK and could do a lot for both fighters careers.
this is a bad fight for hatton. but if khan didn't have roach in his corner, I'd definitely pick hatton to win by KO.
Both fighters will hit each other at the same time and would result in a double knock out. All we will hear is the sound of GLASS being broken just as both fighters land that one shot.
If these two were to ever fight, they better have a broom and a dust pan ready to clean up all the broken glass :lmfao:
Hatton ain't got a glass chin.

I agree, I'd love it man.
I'd be there supporting Khan, it's time proper British boxing fans got behind besides slagging him off all the time like cunts.
Another point to throw in this thread...........
I think we should have a new rule for predicting Khan fights, you can't make a prediction and then say: 'but if he gets caught he will be KTFO.'
Such a cop-out, with this clause nobody will ever call Khan fight completely wrong.
Hence the reason my prediction is: Khan blurring handspeed and accuracy plus Hatton's non-existing head movement = Khan stoppage.
(it's really hard to do, I want to throw it in there.lol)
