Hatton was/is a very good fighter with probably more accomplishments
Naz was a GREAT fighter and dont let anyone tell u other wise, he barely trained for Barrera and wasnt the same at that point anyway, when he was on his game - Forget About It! :boxing:
EVERYONE knew Prince Naz!
its one thing saying that NH would have beat MAB if hed trained but whose fault is that? coulda, woulda, shoulda.
imo the better fighter is hatton but not by alot. both had good wins over the main comp in their weight divisions, however at the same time both were left wanting when they stepped up.
ricky imo edges it because he didn't have the same talent as hamed but showed more resolve in coming back from defeat and beating paulie and lazcano.
ricky also made more of an impact on the mainstream imo. yes the prince had style, but ricky almost single-handedly revived the summer when england didn't qualify for euro 2008 with his countodwn to the floyd bout, in a country where football rules all thats virtually unheard of.
hamed was recognized as the undisputed FW champ. he was knocking mother****ers out, and never was embarrassed like hatton was. Ricky Hatton couldn't shine Hamed's shoes.
Didn't Naz actually properly unify?
yes but they stripped him of one of the belts on directly after he won it or something i believe
some kind of dodgy politics stopped him from actually holding every belt anyway

They were both brilliant for the sport, Hamed in particular was a breath of fresh air. I'll never forget George Foreman grinning like a little kid at the Kevin Kelley fight when Nas announced himself in America, he really f*cking loved it. I think Hatton has accomplished more in the sport, though...
