After Pac-JMM I, JMM made the 1st biggest mistake of his career by walkin away from the rematch and instead opted out for Chris John for less money and ended up losing the controversial decision. In the meantime, Pacman continues his rise to stardom with the Morales trilogy, Larios fight, etc. while JMM is climbing through the ranks again. If he would have rematched Pacman immediately, Im more than positive that JJM takes it 100% against that version of Pac. But then they finally rematch, but now Pacman is very much improved from when they first met.
Now in the rematch, he makes his 2ND BIGGEST mistake, although it is more of a misfortune, by getting knocked down in the third. Without that knockdown, Pacman most likely draws or loses without any controversy. Remember that JMM was one of the most feared mexican fighters at featherweight after the PAC-Barrera fight.
Take away these two mistakes, and where is Marquez today? He's probably one the the biggest draws in boxing today, although fighting at lower weights still since he isn't chasing pacman. Both great fighters and it's nice to see that both are at the top of the boxing game today.

I think Floyd is ready for that kiss... Fucking gays. :puke:
Any overrated amateur like Packy gets lucky once in a while. What was even cooler was watching JMM rise up and mop the ring with Packy for the next 23 rounds.
Class tells over time.
:firedevil
You sound like a cool i mean fool. :haha:
Listen boxing fans. Our pound for pound king is an overrated amateur. :pat:

:lol1:
it is just now that he is taking the right path (business wise) on his boxing career.
so many lost oppurtunity.
he turn down an EM fight that evreyone was so high during that time.

overated boxers never win titles in 5 different weight divisions with 4 lineal titles on it..
JMM should be ashamed that his ticket to fame is having a draw and losing to that overated boxer you are saying.:twak:
Watching the amateurish Packy get his stupid little head snapped back over and over and cut over his eyes was even cooler.
:fing26:
Watching the head of Marquez bounce into the canvas was the coolest of them all. :asshole:
****ing Nacho...JMM only mistake is not getting a better manager. He wouldve pwned Morales.
i told you Nacho is a great trainer but not a good businessman..
it was so sad that we never had the chance to see EM-JMM which has a potential trilogy written on it.. damn nacho!
They lowballed him so I'm glad he stuck to his guns and turned down MP. EM never offered him a fight. And the "loss" to John was bullshit.
JMM is all class. The cream always rises to the top, which is what you're seeing now. There may have been some bumps, but its all part of his journey.
When he beats Floyd and then Packy for a third time, he'll go down as the undisputed greatest fighter of our time and space.

there you go.. JMM wants 3.5M against EM.. WTF!
The only mistake he made was pricing himself out of the rematch and going to indoneisa.
The only mistakes were made by the judges in the two fights who robbed him. JMM is 2-0 against Packy.
And for the poster saying "what if there was more time in those rounds" thats bullshit. The same could be said about all the times JMM wobbled Packy's ass.
No what if's.
No what ifs.... Pac knocks JMM 4 times. That was cool.
Maybe Morales wants it now...but all I ever hear Kellerman, Merchant and everyone else who ever brings up the situation, is that back in the day, MAB and EM wanted no part of JMM if they didnt need to fight him.
JMM turned down the MP rematch and EM bout before losing to chris john for a measly 32K.
i'm sure with that..
On the flipside, what if there was like an additional 30 seconds in round 1 of the first fight or round 3 of the rematch...would we be even talkin about JMM right now?
or what if JMM hadnt got knocked down at all in both fights? jmm would have 2 wins over pac.
EM=Erik Morales??? LOL...if thats what you mean then you need to show proof. Everyone knows Arum kept Morales away from him cuz he knew JMM would win.
Nacho and JMM priced themselves out of that proposed fight.. i'm too lazy to dig it but i'm sure EM's camp offer a fight with JMM..

Well what If JMM started dry humpin Pacman in the ring, mistaking him for his gay japanese lover!!! It ain't ever gonna happen, just like the extra time would never happen. Taking a rematch immediately COULD have happened but it didn't, and it set back JMM marquez's career 4-5 years. Just wondering what people think about his mistakes.
I have this naggin suspicion that JMM actually wants that to happen...if any those pics I've seen are any indication.
Hey Im feelin ya man, but isnt this what this thread is about? What if coulda shoulda woulda's?
