No doubt that Pacquiao is the best in the sport right now, but what he is doing in solidifying his legacy is single handedly destroying the 2 best weight classes in boxing! The ww and jr. Ww divsion by far has the best fighters, but with each elite fighter moving up and down in weight just to have a shot at pac its doing nothing but weakening divisions.
Cotto fights and beats Pac at 142: so what? He goes back to welter after beating on a little guy?
Cotto loses to Pac at 142: decreases the value of all the ww Cotto has beaten.
Marquez moves up to fight Floyd so he can get to Pac? @ 147? Marquez is good but not that good.
We have big guys fighting small guys which sounds good on paper but are not making for good fights. Whether the big guy is too much or the small guy is too fast, somebody is being outclassed. Why cant can'couldnt couldn'tpac just fight marquez, forcing floyd to fight one of the big boys
Yeah, there's nothing worse for boxing than an exciting, humble, brave and vicious fighter taking on all comers and potentially bringing about one of the dream matchups, style-wise, in boxing history.
F***ing Pacquaio.
The last fight Pacman had was against Marquez then after that he cherry picked washed up fighters
And Floyd didnt? Pac is great, so's Floyd. But the bs with the weight and the advantage/disadvantage is killing me.
i dont think is pac...for me is all the bullshit going on with the catchweights. imo thats what screwing boxing :boxing:
totally agree with that statement. im all for fighters moving up in wieghts but if you cant get up or down to a certain weight class you shouldnt be fighting there.
as far as floyd and marquez... jmm is much smaller but he did challenge floyd. if floyd didn accept the mayweather bashers woulda called em a coward. so everyone quit crying about that. and to the pacquiao groupies... you're all so sure pac is gonna kick floyds ass but when he loses to floyd youre gonna criticize him for beating a smaller man. you'll bend it and twist it to make a vicory for floyd seem smaller than it is. thats too bad. dont get me wrong, i love pacquiao, but if he meets floyd in the same weight class a loss is a loss. "bigger" man or not. it counted when pac beat de la hoya. a washed up de la hoya at that. it counts if he loses to mayweather. dont worry, floyd beat the same washed up de la hoya. not as much credit for that win as floyd likes to think. but to the point... floyd beats pac because he is a better fighter, not because hes bigger. i just hope the tears and excuses get filtered somehow when pac loses. the only man capable of beating floyd is he same mosley that fought margarito. who knows if we'll ever see that mosley again...
