I am really confused to a certain extent But, do u think the pacman could beat Duran, hearns, Leonard, Hagler, and even the legendary Sugar ray robinson(definetly no) in their primes????
Those guys are all too big for Manny, less Duran. At Lightweight, Manny would give Duran all he could handle.
Duran would beat the living hell out of pac, at 135 not a single fighter in the history of this sport could possibily beat him, and that includes mayweather, you are talking about the weight where duran was invincible. Duran isnt david diaz, de la hoya or hatton, you are getting the total package of speed, power, movement and the hands of stone at his finest.

leonard, no - too good
hearns, no - too big
hagler - no, too tough, too big
srr - c'mon. too powerful
duran - i think so. duran was tough but right around his ideal size.
In other sports the old legends sets the records and the new legends usually beats the records. IMO in a head to head battle the NEW LEGENDS eat the OLD LEGENDS alive!
Cycling: Miguel Indurain / Eddy Merckx - Lance Armstrong
Basketball: Julius Erving - Michael Jordan
Swimming: Mark Spitz - Michael Phelps
F1 Racing: Ayrton Senna / Juan Manuel Fangio - Michael Schumacher
100/200 Meter Sprints: Carl Lewis - Usain Bolt
But in boxing few of us recognize a 'new legend' in the process of setting records. Why in boxing WE CAN'T favor the new dog against the old dog?! If the 'fav four' were to fight PAC at 135-140 (assuming all of them are fighting at that weight) they would get wiped out!
I just think the training and competition during those yesteryears are a bit 'soft' compared to the training regimen and competition of the recent years!
F*ck! I don't know, I just don't think a B-52 Flying Fortress owns the B-2 Spirit. I could be wrong though...
It's true that training regiments are more advanced, but this is not the 1920's or 30's were talking about. If you have watched enough Leonard, Hearns, and Duran fights, you would know it is more than likely they would beat Pacquiao. Hagler doesn't count because he was a middleweight.

we are not talking literaly here, we are talking about p4p. pac is still improving and has not finnished his conquests so to write him of against those legends is not right. we will have a better perspective of things once he has finnished.
his speed would give Duran problems, the rest emabarass him. SRL would be a fun fight to watch but Leonard eventually stops him. Hearns KOs him the first time he touches him. Little ass Pac VS Haglers chin, yea thats fair. I havent seen enough SRR to make a truly unbiased statement but Im about 100% that SRR gets him.
josh , don't mess up manny's pac-cotto plans.
I think Cotto will beat Clottey. But, I hope Cotto doesn't go below 147 if he fights Pacquiao, his ass will definitely be weight drained.
We dont have film of SRR when he was a green 135-140 pounder so I dont know about that.
Duran is the only one up for debate. Although he was a legendary 135 pound fighter, he did lose to to De Jesus and go to war with Buchannon. He wasn't untouchable.
Hell no, Duran is a more realistic fight since he fought at lightweight. I think he would out brawl Pacquiao, maybe knock him out too.

there are other fighters to consider other than the fab 4 man...
theres kostya for example... JCC... arguello... pryor... azumah nelson...
more or less MP's equals in size... considering he started @ flyweight...
I was just about to say that it would be fairer to make fantasy match ups between him and Arguello and Pryor. Anyway people tend to always pick the fighter from the previous era's when you have great fighters fighting each other you never know what’s going to happen.
