I found this article on Floyd Mayweather Jr. and it pretty much sums up exactly what kind of person PBF is.

Floyd Mayweather Jr. nicknamed himself money. No name in any language on earth could be more apropos when it comes to describing a man who also holds the world championship for ducking good fighters in their prime.
How impressive is his undefeated record when you look at who he has fought and when? I thought it was ridiculous when praise was heaped on him for beating Oscar De La Hoya. De La Hoya was a shell of himself when he fought Mayweather. Before the fight Floyd Jr. ran his mouth like Floyd Sr. spewing nonsense about how he would brutally beat Oscar down and knock him out early, yet when the fight took place Mayweather showed a great deal of speed, when it came to running that is. The only brutal beating in that fight was the abuse boxing fans took in hoping to see an actual fight.
That is the real Floyd Mayweather Jr., a fighter who patiently waits for the best fighters in the game to be taken out by others so he won’t have too. Many people think Mayweather’s best defense is his speedy hands and quick feet. Floyd’s best defense is ducking fighters in their prime, no one has ever come close to being as good as he is at it. Antonio Margarito, Shane Mosely, and Miguel Cotto could have all been big fights where Mayweather could’ve shown he is something more than a paper champion, but didn’t. On the day of Manny Pacquiao’s destruction of Ricky Hatton in two rounds Mayweather announced he is coming out of retirement to fight Juan Manual Marquez. Coming out of retirement for a fighter in their prime is also known as I’ve ducked the premier fighters in the game as long as I could, so now its time for me to find another washed up fighter to take advantage of. Marquez was a fighting great. He is past his prime now and like Mayweather did to an aging Oscar De La Hoya, he will do the same thing to Marquez. Marquez will think he is in a track meet, not a boxing match. Floyd will run from bell to bell. A real boxing fan will not order this piece of garbage on pay per view. If you want to see this fight just find a copy of Mayweather – De La Hoya and you’ll see exactly how it will go down without wasting your money.
Floyd Mayweather Jr. is the biggest fraud boxing has ever seen. Arturo Gatti, Sharmba Mitchell, Zab Judah, and Henry Bruseles are the type of fighters Mayweather used to make a name for himself. He uses fighters who once had a big name and following to fool the public. If Floyd Mayweather is boxings best pound for pound fighter like he says he is, why does he need to fight a past his prime fighter in Marquez? That would be because Marquez is an easy mark for another big pay day. Mark my words Floyd Mayweather Jr. will not fight Manny Pacquiao by the end of this year. Mayweather knows he can’t beat Pacquiao and will wait until someone else comes along who can before he will fight him. That’s just how ‘Money’ is. :loser:

name them. Name the "snoozers" who arent baldomir and de la hoya. Go.
Victoriano Sosa UD in 12
Chop chop Corley UD in 12
Henry Brussels, bro? TKO 8
Then when the whole world was looking forward to Mayweather fighting Kostya Tszyu he underwhelms everyone by beating up Arturo Gatti. Arturo Gatti, bro. WTF? It was just so he could look good because God forbid he take the Tszyu fight and get into a war that he might lose, right? So he skipped that challenge and let Hatton take it.
Then the one we were all waiting and biting our nails for was Sharmba Mitchell... who was beat twice by none other than Mr. Kostya Tszyu himself. Are you following along this great trail of great fighters.. Am I going to fast?
Then he makes a step up to another fighter that lost to Kostya in Zab (this wasn't a snoozer per say just making a point of him following behind Tszyu and not actually fighting Kostya)
Of course you mentioned good ole Baldomire. But yeah he is the best in history, right?
There you go.
If you take issue with who Floyd is fighting after the lay off that is fine. Just take the same issue with other fighters. This means you should take issue with Cotto for fighting Jennings. I don't because I know he had a long layoff and is now fighting one of the most avoided welters. This means you should take issue with Pavlik fighting Rubio. I don't because I think Pavlik may get a fight with King Arthur after he fights Mora. You may have even taken issue with Pac fighting Diaz. I didn't because I knew that Pac after would either go after the top 135 belt holders or move up for Hatton. I take no issue with Floyd because I feel it will set up a fight with Pac and his opponent brings name value. Think about it this way, JMM was going to move to 140lbs to chase Pac. We all know that. Fighting at the catch weight of 143 is 3 lbs removed from where he was headed, Also floyd coming back from a llayoff may give him even more of a reason to roll the dice. Not saying I expect JMM to pull it off but I can see why he feels he has a chance. Just saying.
Cotto was coming off a loss, a cheater left him a bloody mess. That is not the same as PBF fighting Marquez who is lighter than his last fight, dude. Pavilik also coming off a loss to Bernard Hopkins in which he went up in weight.. again not the same thing as Floyd picking on Juan Manuel. Pac was moving up in weight when he fought Diaz, bro. Again not the same thing as Mayweather vs JMM... Are you seeing the pattern? Most champions go up in weight for a challenge. Mayweather is going down to fight a lighter man for an easy win. Floyd is straight up dodging any real competition. The world is starting to notice this. Most of his die hard fans are even getting tired of his "I'm the best ever" antics. It's time to put up or shut up and his first move to fight JMM was a disappointment to all the real welterweight Or Jr Welterweight contenders in the world.
Exactly . . Floyd "MONEY" Mayweather!
If he can make some $$ on the way there(JMM) . . why not!!
Its all about the Benjamins baby! Watch the PBF/JMM press conference.
From a different perspective, this is a great place for Floyd to be right now. Everyone is talking it up and he is right there in the middle of all this, Pac this, JMM that, Cotto this, Floyds a chicken etc etc
He has maybe only another 5years, maybe abit more to be in this spotlight and he wants to maximize the amount of $ in this time whie he can.
He took time off to pursue other avenues to produce revenue from a business perspective.
And all this "Im the Greatest of all time" is to sell it or sell himself.
Now all those saying that he wont or hes a chicken are gonna be sure to watch the Floyd/Pac fight when it happens so Floyds already won from his perspective.
My 2c.
good points
Floyd is going to fight where the money is at. 20 mil easy if he fights pacman so it will happen

You've made some good points. I just don't see JMM and Mayweather being an entertaining match up. They are both counter punchers so we are going to see two guys staring at each other for most of the fight. That is basically my grip. Floyd has had to many snoozers fights on his resume. Yes we all know he is fast and can run around someone for 12 rounds.. who cares.

why yall cant see what this dude has been doing? he been letting the ww handle each other ha way he can say they got losses. i dont. everbody has had solid fghts since floyd was crowned p4p
pacman has moved 4 div s & fought top dogs at each div (marquez, daiz, brass boy, & hatton)
shane, cotto, & margarito did a round robin
cotto bout to fight another solid fight
marquez moved up & ko his last 2
p will been jumping division begging for figts
guess whos missing?

True that, itll be more of a snoozer IMO.
seriously, wtf would he fight berto? there's NO money in that. Collazo? Even less.
99% of this stuff is scripted from the get go. The promoters know they can't make any money unless they can sell the hell out of the fight. Mayweather promotions wanted back in because the storyline was there and the opportunity to make millions too. It was always going to be about the P4P debate. The old #1 king returning to take what was his, from the newly crowned #1 (Manny) or the guy who just knocked Manny off that perch (Hatton). JMM fit in perfectly because he's right in the mix, and even more so because of his previous fights with Pac. Arum and Top Rank are jizzing over this because they're basically in a win-win situation. If Floyd wins, we now have a old #1 vs new #1 P4P. If JMM wins, we now have a trilogy setup, again, for the new #1 P4P crown. Both storylines sell themselves. Its *easy* money.

Its funny how people are acting like Mayweather is this HUGE welterweight like its not a fair fight between him and Marquez.. Come on now everyone knows Mayweather is not a natural welterweight and probably shouldn't even be fighting at welterweight. Him, Hatton, Marquez, and Pac are all around the same size give or take a pound. Mayweather probably walks around at 150 and I'm sure these dudes walk around at that weight and probably more if they're not trying to make weight. Don't get me wrong.. I am a little disappointed in Mayweather not fighting the best that he should be fighting like Cotto but people that don't like him will always have some excuse. Now they say he's picking on smaller fighters lol. He can't win either way and I'm sure he knows that thats why he's doing what he wants to do regardless what people say.
He is doing it to himself by stating he is the best in history. Well last time I checked the best fighters in history never ducked any opponents. Right?
If this wasn't one of your favorite fighters you would see this fight is pointless. You are making excuses for PBF to fight Marquez. If it was a legitimate opponent in the welterweight division it would be all good but he now has to match what Pac is doing? Wtf is that all about. Really look at the situation bro and take your emotion out of it and tell me if this is not a b.s. reason to pick on a smaller fighter.
What excuses? Most of the people in here are saying the Marquez fight is a ploy to get a fight with Pac, is it not? And a tune-up he feels he can beat and make great money off and at the same time try to make a statement that he easily can beat a man Pac had trouble with.
Thats exactly what is going on, I dont know why some people cant see that. Its all in an attempt to build a fight with Pac
I don't think he will be able to KO Marquez. Floyd will run circles around him but I think Marquez is wily enough to last a whole 12 rounds with PBF.
