He is not going to be the same fighter when he comes back. Win lose or draw, he is going to be older and he will fight different. He will be stockier, possibly physically stronger, and certainly slower.
Huggers don't be cry when you see the flashiness is gone.
Haters don't think that what you see is a prime fighter.
It is also the time for him to prove his greatness.
Ray Leonard, Pernell Whitaker, Roy Jones all deteriorated in their 30s. Some had it worse due to inactivity or coke (SRL and PEA) some put on a few more good fights duo to their discipline (RJJ until Ruiz with a final display of heart in the Tarver fight).
Which is PBF going to be like?
Ray Robinson on the other hand came back and was a force at 160 for years.
Huggers, forget that. Mayweather is not going to get his brains scrambled to try back up the claim of being the greatest ever. He will be happy with the money he made.
The amazing part is that both deepthroaters and incorrigible haters have a different bias which encourages them to twist reality the same way. Another proof that extremist morons end up behaving the same...
Bias is bias, one way or the other things get twisted to suit a person's bias. Haters and fanatics are basically the same thing just with opposite opinions~.
PBF a is thurough bred horse. It will be years before they even think about putting him out to stud and it will be even longer before he is even thought about as ready for glue. :PAZ:
And thoroughbred horses also need to train and race regularly to be at their best.
Absolutely. Students of boxing history understand how realistic this actually is.

Then Im sure your picking JMM the more active fighter right.
Activity doesn't change the fact that JMM is both older and smaller. He's been selected for a reason.
:D
wmute, your topic is soooOOoooOOOo in the back of the flomos' minds...noone talks about it tho

So, you are interested? Hey, hey. I'm not going to think annnnnnny less of you, buddy. It's cool that you think about Mr. Boat Buyer a lot.
Beyond Marquez, we don't know what's going to happen.
I want to see him fight Cotto (or someone that dangerous), too. Don't worry, it'll be okay. We all share the same frustrations and hopes as boxing fans. But we're moving into a new chapter. Let's judge the book when we've finished reading it.
Good. I thought I detected some whiny nuthuggery from you here. But if you agree on the WW thing bein where all interest in him should be, cool. I respect your opinion then.
Mm-hm.
Cats usually ignore threads about things they're not interested in. For instance, I could care less about FN4 and don't understand what the hell a video game has to do with NSB (ie. real boxing), but I'm still able to swerve the topics.
You don't, though. You post often in many threads made about Mr. Boat Buyer. Just to let us know that you're not interested in Mr. Boat Buyer.
This makes me think you have a hell of a lot more interest in Mr. Boat Buyer than you care to 'fess up to. It's okay to admit it.
I was wonderin if you'd say sumthin else homey. I've made my opinion on this very clear in the past. I don't like Mr boat buyer anymore, but I still respect him and don't hate him. I wanna see him fight a top WW if he's gonna bother comin back, and as you noted, that is the same exact thing I say in any thread he gets mentioned in. And he gets mentioned in a lot of threads homey.
Preemptive excuses, Flomoism is at an all time high.
See below...
I know it's tough when you don't know the sport and its history. But you will have to face the fact that all boxers (great ones and not so great ones) have serious trouble adjusting in their 30s. From Robinson to Jones passing through Pea and Leonard.
The man you love to hate is no different.
The number of times you've popped into one of these Floyd threads and posted a variation on those words is literally in the hundreds.
YOU CARE. Apparently.
When these Mr boat buyer threads are floodin the board while I'm bored at work, I put my 2 cents in like I would any other thread.
Time stands still for no man, no matter how great you are. Floyd is going to get old and brake down, now when this all takes place is up for debate but comming off a almost two year layoff could very easily effect him badly. Anyone who denies this is a fool and should just learn to accept it.
To me Floyd is rooted in the basics so I think he can go on for longer then those who rely only on athletic ability, but I need to see what he does again JMM (or whoever for that matter in his first fight back), then if he gets better, worse or stays the same in the next fight or fights.
To all those that hate Floyd, you really do not have that long to wait to see him catch a bad whipping aslong as he keeps fighting (2-3 years tops imo).
Coming with the built in excuses already eh?
Nice.

Yup... seeing quite a few delusional ones around,
or also the guy above who is already cringing at the thought that the older guy he might see getting beat is not he guy he really wanted to see get beat...
Marquez is smaller than my 5 year old sister.
You do realize that Floyd was 1 or 2 weighclasses ahead of JMM for most of his career, right? So yea he is bigger but it is not like JMM has been fighting at superfly that last 4 years.
That is true, I need to see him fight again before I make any kind of statment about what he is doing from here on in with his career. i think he is to big and skillful for JMM but who knows at this point. Moving beyond this fight predicting what he will be able to do after this fight is even mroe sketchy.
If the numbers are right I might bet on JMM just to play that chance that FLoyd is not the same guy (I have never once bet against Floyd and could really consider it here at +500 or more).
