Tito's Left Hook is THE BEST OF ALL TIME!

So change the thread title...to the HARDEST hook..... Floyds leaping left hook that comes out of nowhere is the best Ive seen...not Titos. BLACK POWER!!!! Tito Trinidad the best left hook in the history of boxing? Jesus, this is as dumb as the "Duran is overrated" thread................ The OP must not know much about boxing, is Puerto Rican, is very young or all of the above........ What Tito had was great power, that's why he knocked a lot of people out with that hook. Then again, he also KO'd a lot of people with the right hand as well, that's what happens when your a power puncher. As far as delivery, DLH had a much prettier left hook and threw it from an angle that most didn't see coming. Best of all time is tough to say, I think you would have to start out with Joe Frazier at #1. Think about JCC's left hook to the body, Tyson's left looping hook to the head......Tito's isn't on that level, let's not be stupid here. You guys are confusing power with the beauty of the punch.. I think Tito had the greatest Left Hook of the modern era, edging De La Hoya. ........but when we talk about History, there is only one man that springs to mind as soon as the words left hook are mentioned. Joe Frazier. Also, 2 men with devastating and overlooked left hooks that haven't been mentioned are Gerry Cooney and Floyd Patterson.

the vargas trinidad fight still gives me the chills! hooo! TITO! TITO! TITO! You can also argue that Oscar De La Hoya had one of the best left hooks if not THE best in his generation. Tito's wasn't too shabby either.

I love Floyd but bad choice, until he brutalizes ppl with KO's with it then OK. yeah id definately have to agree i like floyd as much as the next guy but his left hook is not comparable with the best of all time. if we were talking about all time defense then he would be up there.

Fraziers Hook was the hardest, he was pure raw power. Tito's for his Wieght classes from140-154 was the best. Any boxer that fought Tito and was hit by that hook was never the same. Look at what happen to the undeafeted Yori boy Campus he was crushed by hooks and never held the same status. Delahoya never allowed Tito to hit him with that hook and who could blame the kid for running from that Atom bomb. Mayorga was the bigges fool for thinking that he could absorb a blow from trinidad like he did from forest.

De la hoya is a natural lefty..so does he count...not for me...unless tito and frazier are Lefty's too fighting orthodox

good left hook but I still think Joe Frazier got it locked up when it comes to left hooks...The one he landed on Ali in their first fight will forever remain legendary....Lefty

Most of us have never even seen a fraction of fighters in our lifetimes. I've seen alot of boxing, but my viewing dates about 12-13 years...so in that time frame, Tito probably had the best I ever saw. It was killer Prior to that...I can only judge what I saw on fights on Classic and fights that I bought compilations for. And you only get showcased fights which don't tell the whole story. IDK...so many fighters that it's impossible to say who was best. I think its ridiculous to say best of all time in many categories, let alone something as universal as a left hook. So based on my viewing history, Tito's was too destructive co-sign :boxing:

i would put dlh's slightly ahead, not taking anything away from tito's deadly left hook.

You sure about that? How about Bob Foster? He put people to sleep with his left hook....like the iron chinned Dick Tiger. His left hook was comparable to a Hearns right hand.

it was monstrous enough that tito landed his best left hook free shots on it and couldn't bring him down so i guess that means mosley's hook is better than tito's. Considering some of those hooks Mayorga let him hit him, literally. I could of sworn Trinidad beat KO'd him with a left hook, buddy.
