They're projecting 70K +. This will be a global boxing event. When was the last time there was a fight this HUGE?
I hope you Haye haters realize that regardless of whether Haye wins or not, this wouldn't be possible without him. This will put Wlad on another level of celebrity.
I read in the paper it is probably on course to have the biggest audience (live at the event). Previously the biggest was Hatton - Lazcano (which was obviously not much of a worldwide event)
I dunno but I feel bad for Haye in this fight - he's not getting paid properly. isn't he just getting TV money from UK TV? and 0% of the purse. I would be ashamed if I was Klitschko - give the guy some money! (must be a lot of money too) Look at Klitschko looking all hard done by when Haye says he wants to cut off his head.

I dont think so..But if it did then I can say that boxing resurgence is complete..:boxing:

Nope... I don't think it will...
Not probably the biggest because this Saturday's match between Pacquiao and Hatton will be a big one and there have been lots of very big boxing events in the past (eg. Tyson - Holyfield, De La Hoya - Mayweather) that will probably not be surpassed by the Klitschko - Haye fight. I'd say its a big event for the heavyweight scene in a while though.
This is a great interview with him, where he really made me a fan. Mentioning doing this for American fight fans as well, and how shitty the division is these days compared to what it once was.

That video got me worried.. I just read today that when a person is talking in an interview and looks upwards and to their left it usually means they are either nervous or lying:dunno:
I agree I just meant that it is probably the biggest boxing event in Eastern Europe but not in the world generally.
That's probably true, it'll probably be the most viewed boxing event of the year as well. It should have more people watching it than Vitali-Gomez.
Boxing's biggest event means the event that the whole world can get excited about, this weekend's Pacquiao-Hatton fight has more people in more places anticipating it than Haye-Wlad.

It depends where you live it will be the biggest boxing event in eastern Europe and Germany but in the rest of the world it wont.

It doesn't matter if it's big in the U.S. this is what you small minded retards fail to understand.. Boxing is a global sport that isn't centered around the U.S.
A fight doesn't have to be in the United States to sell..
This is why I laugh when your stupid ass says "boxing needs Mayweather"
America needs Mayweather, the rest of the world could give a ****.. The UK has its "Golden Boys" in Ricky Hatton & now David Haye. They are a house hold name in their given country. Asia has its "Golden Boy" in Manny Pacquiao. Eastern Europe has the Klitschkos. The Caribbean has their "Golden Boy" in Miguel Cotto and soon to be JuanMa Lopez.
America has.. ??? though one could argue, now that Pacquiao is the face of boxing, he is also a "Golden Boy" here.
Good post bro. Wish I could K you for that.
it wont be big in the u.s..only diehard fans know either one

No, it won't even be the biggest event this year.
It depends where you live it will be the biggest boxing event in eastern Europe and Germany but in the rest of the world it wont.
No, probably not. It is, however, an event that shows that the US is no longer as central to the boxing world as it once was. It no longer needs an American fighter or an American venue to make what probably is the biggest HW fight, at least, since Lewis v. Tyson.
I'm an American and I can firmly say that I am happy for this. I want boxing to live on regardless of whether Americans like it or not. I am a fan first and foremost. It pisses me off when I call every bar in town and they are playing a UFC card instead of a big boxing match. **** 'em. I am happy for the other countries who welcome boxing.
It will be a massive event in eastern Europe and German and should be a big fight in the UK but it wont be a massive event in the rest of the world, still its the biggest heavyweight fight since Lewis vs Tyson imo, probably the 2nd biggest heavyweight of the decade.
it might be big over there and for the hardcore fans here but nothing outrageous. Most people don't know who either of them are here. I say the ppv buys in the east triple those here in the states.
I recognized that we won't see a dope American Heavyweight for a real long time. Haye's a good looking (no homo), tall, fast, in shape heavyweight who speaks well and can sell a fight like hell.
Haye is the future :boxing:
