Yeah, I've even said he fought boring since the move up to 147, but I've also said the best Floyd was left down below 147. Not sure he will ever fight like that again, but...

I dont see how anyone can hate on his boxing.
Seeing that HL. I'll take back what i said. JMM-Mayweather should be 140. JMM would be killed at 147. Honestly.

pfft....
that HL makes PBF seem like a much more exciting fighter than he is.
Bruseles?
Gatti?
NDou?
All bigger than floyd, primo.
and all the best fighters of their divisions.
to Benny, great thread. We love watching vintage, classic shit from many many years ago.
Size doesn't win fights, skills does...which he surpasses everyone in that video with...
And Floyd walks around at 150(around the DLH fight he was). So I doubt he can make 140 without starving himself...
Gr8. So Mr boat buyer should fight JMM at 140. Fair n square wit no excuses when he wins.
He can't; not now. He hasn't fought at 140 since 2005 and doesn't seem to like to drain weight and then rehydrate like other fighters. For him, I guess, it is better to just concentrate on the fight instead of making weight for the scales.
The point still remains: Well first, I would have to know what JMM weighs in at by fight-time at JrWW.
Point: JrWW fight at 147+ usually by fight-time. So skip the b.s. weigh-in and just fight healthy.
This is why I respect the HW more. They just show up and fight and don't bitch about weight divisions.
lol sad but true...unless they're explaining why he has to fight a lightweight at welter :o
I don't think he should be fighting JMM either, but it's obvious why he is doing it, and I've discussed it before: To out-do Pac; tune-up fight; Promotion because it is a "name" fighter and it will lure Pac into a fight; #2 P4P who has disputed fights against Pac.
Plus, yes, Floyd is a legit WW in my opinion but not compared to the rest of the fighters in his division who blow up in weight. To me, Floyd is more WW than those who are way above 147 come fight-time.
If we go by fight-time weight, he is more JrWW. Pac was 147 against Diaz. Hatton, 149+...just like Floyd.
It's not like Floyd is a WW blowing up 10-20 pounds by fight-time from the original weight of the division.
JMM also moved up to JrWW and when he fights them, he will most likely fight fighters that are 147+ by fight-time.
true, but most of his fans will say he is a natural flyweight.
He said himself he couldn't make 130 towards the end when he fought Chavez, so that is out. 135 I think he said he could have milked it. I'd say 140 he could have stayed at throughout his career.
Not sure how many fights he actually drained and rehydrated for as far as gaining 10 pounds like other fighters do.
When he was fighting at WW, he was weighing as high as 149 by fight-time from what I hear. 149 = JrWW fight-time weight.
To me, he could lose two pounds and be called a legit WW/147...but given the way things on run, he is not a legit WW compared to the rest of the competition in the division.

And here's what he did to fighters bigger then him:
