Carl Froch

I think he's a good world champion and has done well to get Taylor on his record and a big payday in the states , fair play , reitire happy :boxing: but fighters from the UK like Hatton and Calzaghe are just a level above , more like the elite world champions.Would be good for him to go on to bigger things from here , his goal should be ring mag champ since he's already got the wbc belt or undisputed champion , that way he achieves greatness . He should chuck chasing Calzaghe and go after the other big names at supermiddle-weight Very good post. I concur completely.

flkucking Chris Eubank was only 31, and he was less shot that Taylor was against Froch. That Eubank Calzaghe beat would have have KO'd froch. LOL, Eubank was shot to bits. A Taylor win for Froch is better than anything Calzaghe has done, apart from maybe Kessler

No reason to shit on Froch's win. Gr8 fight and he came from behind to stop his guy. He should get nothin but respect for that. Period,great win,the man is a warrior!!

Sorry, when I described Taylor as ageing I meant that he is past his peak so to speak, whereas Froch is not. I should have made that clearer but I am at work right now and cannot really spend much time on my posts!

He may have shown great bravery last night, as well as skill, but let us not get carried away with him. Until he unifies his division like Calzaghe, comparisons to the greatest British fighter of all time are void in my opinion. Yes this is true. However Taylor is not that old and Froch is never gonna be Calzaghe cailbur (as much as I dislike him). I believe when such fighters like Calzaghe, Pretty Boy Floyd, Sugar Ray Leonard....Etc. Retire with more fighters wanting to fight them in the ring they are best and until proven otherwise they New champs in that division will never compare!!!!!

Taylor just can't cope with fighters who finish strongly. He doesn't have the stamina or the heart to be in a proper fight. Taylor still remains a World-class boxer however and a threat to anyone.

I don't think comparisons are fair at this point. But.....Froch is a viable opponent for Calzaghe now, and would be big scalp. If Joe isn't quite sure about the retirement thing. I'd love Joe to fight Froch, I've never fully accepted his retirement. He should've bowed out in Britain.
