Mayweather Snr is going to lose Hatton this fight

There I said it. I just watched a video on skysports.com and Mayweather and Hatton are talking about Hatton trying to outbox Pacquiao and not rushing in but standing off and using head movements and coming in at angles to avoid getting hit. Put simply, IT's NOT GOING TO FCUKING WORK! Hatton is not Floyd Mayweather Jnr and he's not going to be able to boxing in his style, Hatton has his own go-forward style and attempts to fcuk with that are only going to confuse him and get him hit. A good example is the start of the Malinaggi fight, Hatton tried to outbox Malignaggi and ended up getting his face busted up by the end of Round 2, it was only when he went back to the old Ricky Hatton and starting really going for Paulie that he started making progress. Trouble is, he's not going to get 3 Rounds to find that out with Pacquiao, if Pac catches him a few times it could be fight over. FM Snr is a massive gamble by Hatton and they should really have had another fight before the Pac fight to test things out. I think it's going to end in tears. Thoughts?

If that's true, then yea, Sr is gonna blow this fight for Hatton. yeah, Snr seems obsessed with head movement and talks non-stop about not getting hit, the same damn shit that floyd is always talking about. I just hope he realises not every fighter can fight in that runaway style and I really can't see Ricky being able to. I predict Pac is going to lump him up bad in the first couple of rounds.

Hatton will make his OWN conscious decision to revert back to his old style anyway, if what he is doing is not working. He did that in the Malignaggi fight. However Mayweather is a fool if he thinks its a good idea for Hatton to stand off Pac, he will get raped if he does that.

What Hatton needs to do is strike a balance. If he can avoid getting hit unnecessarily and only taking shots when he is on the way in to do comparatively more damage then he will have done just that. This is whats gonna happen I think. I think Mayweather snr is training Hatton to fight like FM jr but theres no way Hatton will stick to the style in the fight. He'll go back to his old style but this time he's gonna have much better head movement. Hatton couldnt ****ing move his head out the way against Mayweather and was eating shots left right and center. I think defensively, Mayweather snr has made him a much better fighter.

I have to go eat breakfest, but I just found this... Young Hatton I'll have to watch it a bit later...only saw the first video so far I don't remember seeing it....but look at how Hatton covers up at certain points instead of leaving himself open and also how he moves/agility...pay attention to {Time} 7:27 Note: He got cut early as well which a lot of times leaves a fighter to fall mentally... Not sure what happens next except Hatton wins of course... ye there r some really good performances from him pre-tsyzu

floyd, sr. can only help ricky imo......he has said in the past he is only building and improving on waht ricky already had....most people think hes tryng to make ricky a whole new fighter....thats simply not the case.

ye i think him and roach will be working on that it will be interesting to see how well hatton cuts off the ring against pac,because hes very good at that I have to go eat, but I just found this... Very true. Pac can throw rapid punches in a straight-line. That's where angles and sweeping to the side for Hatton come in handy along with the jab he used last time out. Use your own combos. Once your in, bang to the body and wear Pac out. For Pac: move, and keep putting punches together. A good weapon from Pac now is the right-hook. ye i think him and roach will be working on that it will be interesting to see how well hatton cuts off the ring against pac,because hes very good at that

It surprises me how people can't see with their eyes and realise that there is a BIT more to Hatton than just someone who rushes in and hits and holds. Sure, that might be 70% of his gameplan at times (or 90% in some recent fights) but there is a BIT more method to his madness than that. Take the first round of the Floyd fight (yeah, I know, he got KTFO, lamo, pwn, pwn - immaterial to my point, so don't mention it) he held back to avoid getting into Floyd's traps, used a feint, speed and underrated footwork to land a flush jab on Floyd's chin. Even lesser performances like the Maussa fight saw him get the KO off the back of a feint. Obviously I realise that there's only two forms of boxers out there - ATGs and bums - but Hatton's a bit better than given credit for. So is every other boxer out there. Just look at Klitschko for instance and the unfair labels he receives.

That's funny because I have heard Hatton numerous times state that he will be on the front foot constantly, bullying Pac all night but with better defence and more thought. That's all Mayweather Snr is helping him to do and it will win him the fight..
