Yeah, well it would have been good if it was ten years ago but sadly he's already about thirty years old so it will be really difficult for him to adjust fully to the pro ranks and by the time he does he will be too old for anything great to happen. If only......
Rigondeaux is 28, but I believe he has been inactive since 2007, when he tried to escape during the PanAms.

Hopefully he isnt too rusty after the long lay off from being banned, man,he can be something really great,he was on a whole different level in the amateurs, and hes gona have Pernell Whitaker in his corner in the pro's? This guys gona be a defensive wizard with power in both hands

it is rumored that sweetpea will be on his corner, but it hasn't been confirmed.
Yup, Sweetpea will be on his corner :boxing:.
confirmed by dan rafael :fing02:.
I'm more excited about this guy and Erislandy Lara. Gamboa is a knockout waiting to happen. Dude needs to get chin-checked in order to discipline himself and settle down a bit when he's fighting.
Erislandy Lara is taking boxing more serious than Gamboa.
Lara will fight on the undercard of Hatton/Pacquiao, and will fight AGAIN on Rigondeaux's pro debut.
Yes!! I remember watching him in Dublin hes super fast and amazing accuracy hes gonna be a world class operator and cant wait to see him. :boxing:
