Tyson woulda done much better if Cus lived longer. No guarantee he'd be the HW GOAT, but he surely woulda ended up wit a strong argument imo.

He still would have faded early, but his reign would have lasted longer. Probably through the early 90's where he'd run into Foreman, McCall, Lewis, Holyfield, Bowe, etc. Surely he wouldn't beat all of those guys.

Tyson is so overrated, it's disguisting. i agree even if Tyson was completely sane he could never be greater than Muhammad Ali and Joe Louis they are just plain better

he would have been a better HW no doubt - but imo i agree with the consensus opinion that a guy like tyson is hard to keep on the straight and narrow, he would have self imploded a littler bit later if cus was still around. he was always a very weak guy mentally and didn't have that desire for the game or ceompetition, or proving himself that other fighters like holy and lewis had.

He would have stayed at the top for longer, and I doubt he would've lost to Buster... but, he was a time bomb, and would've gone off eventually Cus or no Cus IMO, it's just a matter of how long it would take.

It would have helped, but regardless, he was still at his best when with Rooney, and had a family like Team behind him. As soon as Don King came in, and his 'Family' was fired, everything went downhill from there.

In Beyond the Glory it showed Tyson was very weak mentally when Cus was around. He was a time bomb waiting to explode. That thing with the trainers daughter was a sign of things to come. Cant remember his name. Havent watched the new movie yet so dont know what it showed. Teddy Atlas pulled a gun on him for that... ......Tyson would have been done for sexual assualt whether cus was about or not

Holy and Lewis would have still both beaten Tyson......his peekaboo style never changed much and once he was 'worked out' he wasn't that special

Seriously though i think he would have probably stayed at the top for longer but in the end i think he would have ended up in trouble. I think he would have been better for longer but I think that Tyson is the most overrated HW of all time. His power was incredible, don't get me wrong but Tyson wasn't all there mentally and I don't' think even Cuz could have kept him straight. Once Tyson started getting money and fame, everything went down hill. You can't control a guy like Tyson, on the real I think he's got serious mental problems that need professional attention.
