HBO needs to get rid of Lewis and hire Hopkins when he retires.

HBO should let Lewis go, and hire Hopkins who can actually call a fight, and do a pretty damn good job at it. Is it just me or is it irritating listening to Lewis's diminutively size vocabulary, which for the most part consists of "definitely". Hopkins did a good job calling the fight last night, and I think it is fair to assume that the majority of us thought he did a pretty damn good job last night, and enjoyed what he had to say. Therefore i propose that HBO hire Hopkins when he calls it a career alleviate us of the annoyance of having to listen to comments that are so blatantly obvious a 60 year old non boxing fan woman could tell, comments such as: "he landed a big punch", "He blocked a punch", and the most irritating of all, excessive use of the word "definitely". Either Hopkisn or bring back Roy Jones, who could also call a fight and add to the quality of commentating. So what do you guys think?

I couldn't stand either Jones or Lewis. Jones can't stop talking about himself or plugging something he's involved in and Lennox is very biased in ways I dont want to get into! IMO

I dont think Lewis is that good but Kellerman imo is much worse i find his voice real annoying, I didnt think Hopkins was any better than Lewis to be honest he said old school about 100times during the fight, I always thought RJJ did a good job to be honest.

Yeah, Lennox lewis is american fools get over it. Lmao He moved to canada as a kid, didn't have much say in it, same with the olympics, he was just sort of pushed into it. He had union flag shorts as a pro, not maple leaf or stars and stripes. I would prefer to live in La or wherever than the uk too, does that make me american? Depends. Do you just want to live there or do you want to be an American and live there? If you want to be American, sure. WTF? Hater. Roy is the best thing that ever happened to HBO. Int the commentating booth his knowledge dwarfs the rest of the cast so bad. He often predicts things in the ring before they happened. He predicted a hopkins KO by left hook ten seconds before it happened and amzed the crew. Bernard's speech is 1/10 of Roy. Roy is so smooth. Roy is the best for this job by far. I'd probably have Bernard and Roy in there with Lampley comentating. Bernard can do strictly color. Roy can do Color analysis, history, etc. And lamps can be lamps. That would be amazing. I'd watch HBO broadcasts strictly for there commentary. Huh? Emanuel Steward was calling that fight not Jones (if you are talking about the left hook that stopped Oscar).

i think lennox represents the uk more then u think....when he called the hatton-malginaggi fight he seemed to be very animated that night The man was born in the UK, so obviously he has to represent it to an extent. But the man learned how to fight in Canada (holds Canadian citizenship, and passport) and fought for Canada not once but twice in the Olympics, and he lives in Miami USA, and has no intention of permanently moving to his country of birth, Great Britain. It seems to me that he prefers North America.

Lennox does give a crap. He even said wins over american fighters were the sweetest, and thats when the yanks quit trying to claim him. Uggh...Ok....Lennox isn't a whiteboy so he won't care. Lol.

Get rid of Kellerman, replace him with hopkins and we shall see if Hopkins berates british fighters while sitting next to lewis. Lennox probably doesn't give a shit. The man left Britain when he wa s akid and spent the majority of his life in Canada and the United States.

i agree but i like lennox....they should fire kellerman and hire hopkins max is suppose to be the historian... bhop and lewis are color commentators... lewis is doing a decent job. I don't see how hopkins does any better.
