We can easily go with Patterson vs. Liston, but try to also name some fighters closer to weight/size.
Like Taylor vs. Chavez
And of course, also post up fights where Speed did Kill.
People say timing is the answer for speed, but do you know how hard it is to time speed.
yup just be first. everytime u think he bout to swing u throw a punch. its going to disrupt his rhytme.
er
Carlos Monzon beating Napoles...
Napoles used speed and movement in that fight but to no avail...
Duran KOing Villomar Fernandez and Lou Bizarro...
Not to say Duran was slow, he was quite fast ( as Carlos Palomino had
said) but these two were able to use a lot of speed and movement and
a great deal of potshotting...) Duran was patient and eventually caught
them and KOed them...)
Hellboy vs Prince Nuada
Nuada was fast as fvck but when Hellboy got to him, it was over...
first off ricky has the better footwork....i think the power shots of ricky will be the difference...this is no d. diaz or washed up oscar...pacs win was a flat out joke...he needs to stay at lightweight were he belongs....i think hatton has potential to really hurt pac....malginaggi has a better chin than little pac....keep in mind d. diaz and oscar never touched him...and if he throws the power left....hatton will slide and throw a power left to the body of his own....pac better be careful or he could get seriously hurt, just like cotto margarito....minus the plaster
Who said that Manny had better footwork, first of all. I said it will help him get the other things done. Regardless, all fighters have 'name' wins. Diaz was his first fight at 135. Manny has Oscar, Hatton has Castillo. Don't act like Hatton is immune to it.
For the record, Hatton will probably not hurt Pacquiao. I doubt Manny gets wobbled once.
Nonetheless, I think either guy could win. I'm still willing to lay that 20K on the line.....
First of all, it was 2005, basically 3 to 4 years. Virtually within months of Pacquiao fighting Morales for the first time.
Second of all, they are both 30 years old. If you're talking about ring years, Manny has more rounds and more wars under his belt.
Point being, don't make up reasons for you to believe Manny will win.
He'll win because of his rhythm, his speed/timing and his in and out offense. Also because of his head movement, footwork and lateral movement.

ricky is still in his prime...you know ricky's power might be the answer to little pac...once pac gets hit hard...he will become paulie malginaggi's twin brother
I hope so, but I just cannot see it.
I know Ricky Hatton is one of the nicest, most altruistic men to win world titles in this great sport, but sometimes us Brits do over-hype him.
If he manages to beat Pacquiao, then we can imply that he is the greatest fighter on the planet, but not before.

I'd love to bet you 20K that THAT, doesn't happen.
Speed almost always kills in boxing, so my money is on Pacquio.
I hope Ricky Hatton wins as he does a huge amount for various charities across the United Kingdom and the rest of the world, but I just cannot see it. It will be like the Mayweather fight all over again, accept Ricky will take more punches.
Ricky is the older, much slower fighter and it is many years since he beat the brilliant world champion Kostya Tzu

Cotto isn't as fast as Mosley is, and he won.
Hatton isn't faster than Malignaggi.
One could argue that Mayweather isn't as fast as Judah.
Margarito isn't faster than Clottey.
All I can think of that are relatively recent.
