duran wasn't better than esteban dejesus, kirjland laing, robbie simms or vinnie pazienza
Do me a favour lol. DeJesus is better because he beat him? On that logic Duran is better than SRL then?
Mayweather certainly may have the ability to be better, but because of his lack of heart to reach out and grab what is within his grasp,we are left to speculate and go to war as fans, defending and accusing him, while he could not care less about us,its a shame really!!!
i love both fighters. i miss the mayweather that fought ndou. that mayweather was exciting. his style in his final fights were ok but he went way to safe closing in on his "retirement" to preserve his record. the old more aggressive mayweather that was still elusive counter punching and stepping forward vs a prime leonard would haev been one of the greatest fights ever seen. i think leonard would take it though.
Pryor is too open and doesn't have the speed to trouble Floyd. Floyd would outbox. Aaron Pryor is a great fighter and lords know how he took Arguello's punches but I'd pick Whitaker, JCC and Mayweather to beat him at 140
I agree with you. Mayweather would have beaten him, but Pryor would probably have his moments.
Floyd. Leonard was a great fighter and had some skills, no doubt. What puts Floyd clearly ahead is he crushes Leonard in the mental game. There's no way Floyd would ever let an inferior fighter like Duran get in his head and goad him into giving up all his physical advantages like Leonard did in the first Duran fight. Floyd's too mentally strong for that. If they could have fought, Floyd would be the one to get in Duran's head. He would clown Duran starting the second the fight got announced and Duran would be beaten before they even stepped in the ring.
Actually your wrong about that. He got goaded into a brawl and gave up all his physical advantages against Castillo and got a gift win. Now he was lucky that Castillo was not Duran, or he would have probably gotten dropped and definately would have lost. Floyd vs Sugar Ray would have been a great fight. I voted for Sugar Ray, but I'd say even. Ray had better offense, Floyd had better defense. I think the trouble Floyd had with Zab would show against leonard. I think Leonard would win Prime for Prime.

putting ALL 60 points of your IQ to use i see.

Not buying it...

To be fair Floyd's best weight isn't 147(not regarding accomplishments). Probably 135 or 140. Unfortunately 140 was weak when Floyd was there outside of Kosta, Hatton, and I guess Witter. 135 was ok but nobody on the level of a Hearns or Duran at the weight.
Leonard has done more. BUT PBF is easily the more skilled fighter
I don't know. Only thing Floyd has ova Leonard is defense. Ray does everything else better and he beat better fighters.
Sugar Ray Leonard. Leonard beat Hearns, Duran, Benitez, etc in his prime. Hearns and Duran are better than any1 on Floyd's resume...well maybe not the Duran in the 2nd fight since he wasn't in shape.
This question really doesn't need to be asked...clear answer.
Based on skills I would say Mayweather is the better boxer
I am being subjective
What Im getting at is both are relatively close in skillsets, no? But Ray has proven himself and his skills against better fighters than Floyd. Floyd may look better, but don't you think that has to do with the level of opposition he's faced? I won't mention Hagler, but I can't see him looking better than Leonard did against Duran or Hearns, though I think he could look as good against Benitez. Just my opinion, of course.
WITH HIS BLACK BOTTLE... hahahaha...
kidding aside, Pryor has the style to give Floyd fits and athleticism to keep up with Leonard...
no offense, but Pryor would have gotten badly beaten by Leonard. Leonard's speed, size and considerable power would eat him up...Pryor simply left himself open too often, and he wouldnt be able to damage Leonard enough to slow him down before he started getting tattooed.
Mayweather vs Pryor would have been interesting. Mayweather might not have the power to keep Pryor off of him.
